Hosts were extremely accommodating and amazing. Would definitely love do this again. Ideal for groups both large and small. Hosts seem to also allow bringing your own food in too for cooking yourself (thai bbq style)
What a wonderful find! We booked originally for 2 nights, and ended up staying up nearly a week. It was so peaceful and full of simple pleasures..like playing with a naughty puppy called Peanut, gazing at at the starry nights in the middle of the night. Thank you, Laurent and k.Erng, for a week of peace and lovely time...hope to see you again soon !
Elung and Laurent - You are super amazing hosts. The best we could expect for our stay in Thailand !! About Place - So you stay in tents on a hill top amid a farm as a small water-stream flows right next to you. Laurent has Longan farm on hill slope and your tents too would be pitched right in the same farm. We loved our stay at these camps far inside the jungle with no lights around. By the way, Laurent has set up complete house on solar powered panels. He even had lost his panel and some 25 trees in storm few years ago and he rebuilt again from scratch. Place is around 25 kilometers from Doi Inthanon and is perfect base for an early morning ride to summit. About food - Elung cooks delicious Thai Cuisines - actually finger licking :) There is nothing around and they cook and serve the food from their house only. Charges are very nominal. Even beer is available. About Elung and Laurent - Laurent is from Portugal and had met Elung on his Thailand trip few years ago. They fell in love and Laurent moved to Thailand for a peaceful life. Amazing couple they are. They make you feel so much like home and comfortable. You will love their amazing hospitality. Strongly recommended if you are looking for a camp experience with homestay kind of hospitality.…
Stayed here for a night in a tent. The tent comes equipped with mattress, pillow and a lamp with USB port for charging (I'm so impressed hahaha) Anyway, the location is quite far off the main town area and would be reachable if you have your own vehicle. It was my first time riding "off-road" to the accommodation. It was fun...they're getting the road paved in the near future though. The place is owned by Lawrence and his wife - they were great hosts. I was the only visitor during this low season and they drove me to the swimming pool nearby. I really enjoyed the opportunity to converse with some of locals. Speaking with Lawrence, he has great plans for the site which with time I would see that this place will become really popular. I think the timing was bad when I visited, the sky was foggy/hazy all day/night. Otherwise I can imagine the sky would be filled with stars! Do visit this gem if you're in Mae Chaem (I would!) Also, fun fact, I was told Fuang Fah means bougainvillea in Thai. I hope your back is getting better Lawrence! …
Me and my boyfriend loved staying here! Planned for one night and stayed for three... lovely hosts, food, view and dogs! Don't have one bad word to say! Even got to test out the river in a boat with the owner... would recommend this place to all!
