Thank you for making our honeymoon so special! Veranda Resort was, without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, hotels we have stayed in so far. We don’t usually write such long reviews, but the Veranda staff definitely deserves a detailed one! If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, escape the craziness of the busy city, be surrounded by nature and calmness but still have a good connection to the city, be provided with excellent hospitality, and not be bored—this is the place for you! We stayed for seven nights at the beginning of November and used most of the facilities that the resort offered: pool, jacuzzi, gym, spa, restaurant, bar, transport, and extra activities. Location: The resort is located a 30-minute drive from the city center, but the staff offers a complimentary shuttle bus service at set times to the city and back to the hotel, so the connection is not an issue and is free. It made our travels and sightseeing much easier and more convenient. The hotel is situated in the mountains, so the whole place is very quiet and peaceful. No outside noise, no crowds, only the pleasant sound of crickets and frogs at night and birds during the day. As huge nature lovers, we enjoyed the wilderness at Veranda a lot; we found geckos especially entertaining! The view of the White Temple and the palm trees from the Higher room was just incredible. The sunsets were unreal. The resort itself is not very busy, and even the main pool was empty most of the time, which was great! The whole place is so green and lush; it just helps your mind to relax. Everything from the pool to the trees, grass, and plants was so well maintained and perfectly clean. Staff: A huge, huge thank you to every single staff member—you all greeted us with a smile and kindness, and nothing was problematic for you when we asked. Helpful reception staff, including night staff, were always keen to book us taxis, give us recommendations, have a chat and joke with us. Housekeeping was always present, and the room was always perfectly clean - we found the everyday good night sweets left in our room when we went out to the city to be a nice little touch! The restaurant and breakfast staff were so attentive and kept their eye on every detail! Gentlemen in charge of transport - also the ones on the ground in a golf cart were so helpful. Big, big thanks to Jackie who gave us a white temple tour, for her knowledge and enthusiasm. And special staff members—cats that kept us company in the evenings—made the hotel feel like home and entertained us while setting a friendly environment. Facilities: The room was spacious, quiet, and clean; it had everything you needed—good AC, drinkable water, coffee, tea topped up every day, and a big straw bag that you can use to take your stuff to the pool. We loved the little private patio outside our window where we could sit at night and listen to the frogs. The breakfast buffet was delicious—so many choices in addition to freshly cooked eggs upon request. The staff was always happy to cut fresh fruit for us, which was amazing. Dinners and cocktails were so tasty; we liked that a lot of products were locally sourced. We loved the tree house seats in the restaurant. The spa offered a wide range of choices in terms of massages done by certified therapists, and we were very happy with ours. The spa was clean, intimate, and very relaxing. Pool and gym—all well maintained and clean. There were options to book free activities like temple walking, rice planting, yoga, Thai boxing class, or bike rides, which took place in the local village—all organized by staff for guests. Design: So impressed with the designs! We felt like we were in the Vogue catalogue! Modern, minimalist concrete blocks composed perfectly with the greenery around them. It was so well designed that it felt like buildings and pools were an addition to the greenery, not a way around! Subject: Fantastic Vegan Experience at Veranda Resort I'm excited to share the amazing time our vegan group from World Vegan Travel had at Veranda Resort. Working with Thierry, the head chef, and Anchalee, who took care of event organization, made our stay truly special. Thierry's culinary skills were on full display as he crafted two incredible Thai dinners tailored specifically for our vegan group. The variety and flavors of the dishes were outstanding, and our travelers couldn't stop raving about the delicious meals. Anchalee, managing the event organization, was not only accommodating but also really understood our vegan needs. This hotel is located in a secluded area, so it’s perfect for when you just need to decompress. The lush greenery surrounding the hotel and amazing views would really put your mind in your vibe at ease. That being said, I don’t consider this a luxury hotel due to the state of the rooms. While the outside property is well maintained, the rooms definitely need to be upgraded because you do see the wear and tear. The hotel staff and property did make up for that shortcoming.

Scenic resort, you can feel the resort has been there for quite some time but its gracefully ageing and its design blend the surrounding very well. We stay in the corner 3bedroom villa with private pool but unfortunately the unit hav3 some issue then we moved to another corner, this furthest away unit is the best as you have more greenery outside the villa.

Stayed at the Veranda Resort for 4 nights. Our villa-room was unusually large, overlooking a beautiful, lush green space, it had its own plunge-pool. Beware: our room had some steps and we both tripped ...maybe the strip should be painted different colour from the floor as a warning. The hotel buildings are spread out over a huge space. Their designs are unusual, , bare blocks of concrete without much fuss. The dining room is nicely located overlooking the rice fields. The breakfast room has a stunning view toward Wat Ban Pong. The hotel would benefit from some major TLC, such as a coat of varnish on the wooden areas, floors and breakfast benches. The guest info-book in our room was "slightly used", maybe put the papers in plastic holders, they will last longer. Same for the dining room menu. We would have liked bit more variety in our half-board dinner menu choices. And maybe some soft Thai music audible in the public rooms always creates a serene atmosphere. Firstly we arrived at the airport and the Grab taxi’s kept cancelling our ride to the hotel. We then arrived with an airport taxi, the welcoming was nice and hotel is very big, beautiful and scenic. However we went out for dinner and arrived back at the hotel around 10pm and there were no staff at reception nor the main entrance, there was another couple just waiting in the lobby to be seen. We have a baby with us and it was pouring with rain, we waited over 15 mins for a buggy to take us up to our room. Poor guy was the only person taking care of the *entire* hotel, he was very apologetic when he saw us standing around. I found it quite unsettling and uncomfortable, imagine there were multiple disasters and nobody available to help.

The quiet place with the green tree like a therapy became to the best for relaxing. The hotel has a very nice view and full of green trees. I heard the sounds of bugs, birds and a breeze. I like the local food, such as Num Prick Nom. It has good taste. I think I will come back when the weather is clear.

What a truly AMAZING hotel We stayed in a luxury pool villa which was absolutely spectacular, downstairs had a beautiful open plan living area, with a decent sized kitchen and Starbucks coffee machine. A fabulous outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and a twin bedroom. Then up the gorgeous wooden staircase to the master bedroom, fabulous outdoor bath and another double bedroom. There are endless beautiful spots around the grounds. From the gorgeous pool with great views to the swing outside the library, to the super stylish lobby. Lots of opportunities for beautiful photos The gym is well equipped and we were lucky to join a really high standard yoga class in the outdoor pavilion We also highly recommend taking the 30 minute walk up to the white temple, it’s well worth the walk up over 900 steps The staff were all excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We needed some kitchen equipment that was happily brought by room service, housekeeping did a really thorough job and the staff at breakfast and at front desk were all super friendly. We had lovely chats every time we walked out of our room with the friendly guy at the main gate We were able to take the hotel shuttle bus back into Chiangmai when we safely had to leave A special thank you to Nuchy for taking such very good care of us We will definitely be back…

This hotel is very beautifully located, the rooms are nice but the interior designer surely never stayed at a hotel before. No towel racks, to use shelves you need to step into the bath, dark mood lighting in the bathroom and no easy way to use the hairdryer. This is however not spoiling the experience. Staff are extremely friendly, food is good, the setting for dinner in the garden is picturesque and the pool has a magnificent view. Would definitely stay here again
