I stayed at the Riverbank Resort for one night in February 2020. First off, the main reason I booked here was for the view from the balcony, and in that regard, I was quite satisfied. Mae Sariang is a beautiful place, and the balcony was a nice place to take it in. The location is also good, as it's on the main strip of hotels along the river and is within walking distance to anything in the city you'd want to see (although it is a good 2km walk to the Prempracha Transports bus station if you're coming to town by bus). While there were a couple negatives (a little noisy, a few too many bugs flying around the room), I'd probably stay again. While English is limited at this hotel, I must mention the kindness of the staff. I had a 7am bus at the Prempracha station, and in the morning, one of the staff that was around gave me a free ride on his motorbike, which saved me a lot of time and hassle.

Comfortably, fair-priced option right on the river. Be sure to get a downstairs room with great lounge sofas right above the water. Very nice lounge area for morning coffee. Room has everything you need, but a little small to spread out your things. Not much English here in the staff, only one girl.

in the new part (bricked) of the house no noise from neighbors.3rd floor with riverfront balcony, spectacular view all day long, watch the buffalo taking their daily bath. lots of wood and bamboo make the room very comfortable. aircon, wlan, hotwater :perfect bathroom cleaning could be more accurate. even though the young manager speaks enough english, better doublecheck important things with translation program on your smartphone (engl. to thai). hotel bicycles:consider a stop at a mechanic before expoloring the wonderful valley of mae sariang.

We stayed at the Riverhouse for 2 days and unfortunately had to leave as it was fully booked. So we came for our last night in Mae Sariang to the Riverbank. The rooms are small but the balcony is nice, overlooking the river. The place is very loud, you hear your neighbours and people walking in the room above you.But 500 Baht for a night is not expensive,so we won't complain.

We stayed here for one night after our favourite guest house was fully booked. We got a room for 500 baht a night which was very cheap but cheerful. The room was very very small with two beds and virtually no room for any larger than our carry on bags. The beds however were very comfy and we had a good sleep which was all we were after. The bathroom worked well with good pressure albeit a bit tight for room. As in a lot of guest house hotels in Thailand bathrooms/ toilets do not offer a great deal of privacy so you have to get on well with your travelling companion or partner ! This place was very cheap more than half less than the competitors so we couldn't complain. The newer wing has larger rooms and would offer more comfort. Recommend if you want cheap and cheerful !
