We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We thought it was quite charming and certainly adequate for the price. Each room is a separate bungalow and there are only 6 total, I believe. I find the beds in Thailand to be a bit hard, and this was no exception. The reception only spoke limited English, but was able to arrange for a motorcycle taxi to take us back to the bus station when we needed to leave. It is centrally located along the river road, where most of the other hotels are located. The one downside for me was the shower. There seemed to be plenty of hot water in the afternoon, but in the morning, I had a cold shower after my husband had his shower first. There is really not much to do in Mae Sariang if you do not have transportation, but we did make use of the free bicycles at the hotel and rode around the area a couple of times. Also, there is no restaurant or breakfast at this hotel and we had a hard time finding a place to eat breakfast, but eventually ended up at the Screw and Brew Coffee Shop at the Rivertree Hotel (see separate review), just down the street, and we thought the food and coffee was good. We also had dinner there once and also ate dinner once at the Sawadee Restaurant (see separate review).

Guest house with six rooms in individual bungalows with parking spaces (though not one per room so get there early if you go by car). The location is convenient on the main road within a few steps of several riverside restaurants and bars and a short walk from a nice temple and the town centre. Although the room looks quite old and will not win any awards for decor, it was very clean with a nice wooden floor, TV, fridge stocked with drinks including free drinking water, air conditioning, outdoor seating on a small veranda and a kettle with instant coffee - not bad for 800baht. There were even some cup noodles in the room for 20 baht if you didn’t want to go out! They don’t provide breakfast but the fridge and kettle gives you the option to make your own if you wish. We brought muesli, fruit, uht milk, tea bags and coffee with us so were all set. The room was spacious and the bed king size though the mattress was quite hard and the duvet a bit too warm. We reserved through Booking.com and there was no problem on arrival. All in all good value.

We stayed here one night (as we didn't want to do the trip from Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai at once). In the village there isn't too much to do, but the stay was excellent. Very friendly staff, close to restaurants/bars, the bus station and some sights. Free bikes to lent. The room (bungalow) was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was separated from the toilet, which is a plus to us. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Nice place along the river, frendly stuff, cozy bungalows with a terrace, clean, confortable beds, close to everything. Within short walking distance you have restaurants, bars, market, quite enough for a good sleep in the night

Quiet little guesthouse just like in the picture. Stayed in cottage no.5 next to reception house in the middle of the property. Room was clean, bed, pillows, everything was in good condition. Lines of ants on the wall may disturb one who's not used to Thai countryside. (Just leave them that way, they will not attack you) Be prepared for car noise during day time. Very quiet at night though. Had very good sleep after tired day trip. The only minus point from me is too strong scent air freshener used in the room.
