We spent an evening at the Red Lion in Wendover. The hotel has the potential to be very good, there's a restaurant, a decent sized bar and car parking at the rear. Staff are very friendly. Having asked previously for a quieter room we were placed in Room 5 which, as others have stated, picks up road and bar noise...

Do not stay in room 5 unless you like a party in your room or are an insomniac. We have stayed at several Fullers Inns and have never been disappointed until our visit to the Red Lion. We stayed one night and had a meal in the restaurant. We were looking forward to a good choice of meals. However, despite...

Was here on a business trip, for the first time, and for sure the last time. Arrived to the hotel, claiming that the hotel is fully booked, i got a crippy out of the building room. The place looked like an old horse stable, small, barely could get my stuff in, cold, heating was not working. bathroom so small that...

We stayed 2 nights in January with a group of friends. We thought the breakfasts and both evening meals were very good and overall the B&B rate was good value for money. The room was quirky, and perhaps in needs of a little updating, but overall it was clean and comfortable and just what you need for a weekend away....

Booked this pub to meet up with family and take our 2.5 yr old for Sunday lunch. This place did the job without being a place we would rush back to. Service was mixed, one waitress really did not want to be there and certainly didn't want to take any questions about the menu, whilst other staff members made an...

Dear Toby F, It's great to hear that you found our food good and excellent value. I'm sorry that on this occasion the beef wasn't pink for you, it is sliced directly from the joint. Kind regards Paul and the team at the Red Lion

Dear David F, Thank you for your feedback, We're sorry that you feel that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We would suggest giving us a call on 01926 622266 to discuss this further. Our chefs cook the food from fresh using local ingredients (not frozen as is the case in many of the local chains) and...

My wife and I booked to stay here as an overnighter before travelling on to Luton airport. Check-in was very smooth and front desk staff very pleasant Room was adequate and bed was comfy. The only let down we had was the fact that we booked evening meal, which we were looking forward to, especially after the aroma's of Sunday...

Dear 1Steve_bach, Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you found our hotel and service good, but I'm sorry that we were unable to provide food that night. It is extremely rare, but we had an issue that for safety reasons required us to turn off all appliances in the kitchen until it had been resolved later that night. We...

The staff are helpful and friendly. I am a returning customer as two our three times a year I visit relatives who live nearby. The en suite bedrooms are in keeping with the age of this splendid hotel. I am fussy about pillows and these at the hotel are good.

The food and drink were great. The room was tiny and airless; we couldn't open windows. Avoid room 15 and your stay should be fine! The mussel dish was delicious and had fennel in it. Service was very good.

Dear L6887IXkatew, Thank you for your feedback, I'm so glad you enjoyed our food and service. I have checked room 15 and there are 4 windows that can open in the room, so I'm sorry that you had trouble with them during your stay, but they seem to be fine now.
