Good food service and surroundings. Old photo here...now the place is painted green outside. Tastefully decorated. Real fire. Good value as well. I would recommend. Very quick and friendly service and genrous portions. Quite a traditional menu but well executed.

Stayed for one night on a business trip and thought was good! Friendly welcome, shown to the room (outside in the courtyard) which was homely, comfortable and well appointed. Had a couple of drinks in the pub, good beer and friendly service again, though did not eat here. Breakfast was good and cooked to order in the morning. Would return...

I stayed here as there was no availability where I usually stay. I was very disappointed. The rooms are all outside of the building and on the ground floor so I didn't feel safe enough to leave the window open at night and was baking hot. The pub itself is OK - very average menu and very average food. Staff...

Whilst everything about this place meets or goes over your expectation, the sheer cost of meals + drinks makes me glad my employer covered the costs. This is my second stay here, the menu is unchanged so it is not exclusive meals so all I can say is there are plenty of restaurants in this lovely place so I would...

Third visit and our last i think. Visited on a nice summer evening. Can't fault the location of this pub. It's right on the green and very picturesque. Got the menu, to be told of a 30 minute delay in the kitchen. It was Tuesday evening and half the tables were empty. 3 orders were given. One was quiche and...

Delicious ham egg and chips, although the duck egg looked suspiciously chicken-like... The gents had a wet floor sign up but it smelled like it was not water that was covering the entire floor, it seems some patrons have some issues with their aim. Staff were friendly and polite.

Stayed here for one night. A decent enough suite in a Pub on the beautiful high street. But the bed!....I could feel all the springs. How can hotels not check for this issue. It's the most vital part of a comfortable nights stay. Food was below average too. Go to the ferry pub on the water instead it the gorgeous...

A really nice place to stay. Rooms are equipped well food is delicious. I always use this place if I am hanging around Cookham. You need to be aware only that lunch starts at 12.00 exactly. My favorite is the Berry cider and home made Burger!

A very disappointing lunch! Waited for a good 50 minutes for our Sandwich with a stone cold fries. We ordered quiche for the main course the price of £11 it wasn't as expected a very small slice with few dry leaves as if it's been left out for day in the heat plus few fried green beans. Not going back...
