I was in Tanzania for a month hiking Mt. Kili and then on safari. The Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge was one of the very best accommodations we stayed in. The tents were lovely, of course, but the food was magnificently fresh and tasty, the view...More
Well worth staying here. It is great in so many ways: nestled overlooking a beautiful valley, amazing views, very impressive tented lodges, both rooms and main building.

Hi January was OK. Keep in mind the lodge is not that close to the crater gate and serengeti. It takes a couple of hours to get to the crater so we opted for a camp on the rim, more expensive but worth the money in my opinion. We stayed at Rhotia to support their project but 3 nights were too long. There is not a lot to do there. Hope this helps.
