This lodge was much better than anticipated. I stayed in the main lodge and bought the food package. Well worth it x 10. I was able to shoot all day then come back to a healthy warm meal. Talk about photography with the other photographers till bed. Wake up to a ready made breakfast and repeat. Your able to shoot...

Staying at Aurum Lodge is like visiting your favorite aunt and uncle. Madeline and Alan have created a welcoming and comfortable lodge filled with treasures from their travels around the world. It's hard to believe they are also off the grid. The accommodation one makes as a guest to this lifestyle was minimal (recycling, minimal water use, composting toilet). The...

Ok well I guess my husband and I will have to disagree somewhat with most who posted a review. We stayed in the main Lodge at Aurum for 2 nights in July. When we stay in a Bed and Breakfast , 3 parts (bed, breakfast, hospitality) have to be outstanding relative to the price for me to give it 4...

Hello Catherine and Mark, and thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to hear that we could not satisfy your expectations by offering more, for less. It appears that ours was not the area you were looking for and our bed & breakfast package is not the type of bed & breakfast operation you...

With our 3 kids (9/12/16) we were seeking the "real" nature in the Rockies, far from crowded tourist places. With Aurum Lodge we found the place which could not have been better in this regards. Madeleine and Alan love the details, they prepare their Lodge with so much love and with most respect for the environment and nature, that we...

Thank you Oliver for your extensive review. It was a pleasure to host the five of you and we are glad you and your family liked it so much (despite the poor fishing in Abraham Lake :) ). Alan and Madeleine

We stayed here so we could visit Banff and Jasper National Parks. Although 45 minutes from the park gate it was the right choice. Alan and Madeleine are charming informative hosts helping us plan our days out. We spent some time in the park and the rest around the b&b which has a great location on Abraham Lake. There are...

A very special place,no doubt..every square inch of this beautiful eco-lodge,put together lovingly and thoughtfully by its owners, Alan and Madelaine, results in a stay that is both relaxing and refreshing. The rooms are airy and spacious, large windows offering generous views of the surrounding area,which-to us-had a dream-like beauty to it,,the bed was super-comfortable,everything immaculately clean and user-friendly. Our hosts,Alan and...

We can't rate this place highly enough. Firstly, the location. It is is beautifully set off Highway 11 on the shores of Lake Abraham, not quite in the middle of nowhere but certainly getting there (although it is only an hour and a half from the town of Rocky Mountain House). The views from the Lodge are truly stunning. It...

One of the best places I have ever stayed. We stayed in one of the private cabins and were very impressed. It was very cozy and clean, with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and lake. Aurum Lodge is a special place of peace and tranquility, situated on Highway 11 just off H93 known as 'The Most Beautiful Road in the World'.
