Detailed Reviews
Being a family (and friends) that love CARAVAN travels as a group we were pleasantly surprised at the Coobowie Caravan Park - it is a hidden gem situated very slightly "off the main trail" but very central to everything that Yorke Peninsula has to offer within a short distance. The Coobowie Caravan park is very well maintained by the friendly Manager, the amenities block is kept spotlessly clean, there is also a large Camp Kitchen with 3 BBQ" inside as well as an oven, microwave, kettle etc, etc and lots of seating as well a a "Big Screen TV" everything is spotlessly clean including the BBQ plates. The Caravan sites are well maintained throughout the park, and there is also a Central "Dump Point" next to the Toilet Block which is a +++ for caravan parks ! - I will let YOU surprise yourself wit the "Value for money" site fees. I did not mention that the park is also "Pet Friendly" albeit I dont have a dog anymore. ALL I CAN SAY is "We will be back very soon"

The Coobowie Caravan Park has to be one of my favourites if not my favourite place to stay. The Park is very well maintained, has many facilities, is one of the cleanest including the cabins and all areas. Other guests have commented on how clean it is. Your hosts have been running this park for several years and are extremely helpful and obliging and have a great knowledge of the area. The rates are incredibly good value, where else can you stay in a cabin for $70 per night - no where. The other beachfront cabins are beautiful and priced very well and there are many different accommodation options available.
Cooboowie is a great place to stay. The seafront is simply beautiful with daily sightings of Pelicans and walks along the beach are magnificent. It is a great place to stay to explore the Yorke Peninsula and surrounding areas and you can very easily do a day trip to the beautiful Innes National Park which has one of the top 10 rated beaches in the world.
If you want to get out of the rat race and relax I could think of no better place. Coobowie is a beautiful quiet untouched little seaside town (there aren't many left) and the local takeaway shop next door has better burgers than in anywhere in Adelaide amongst other food options.
I recommend five days as there is much to explore and see on the Yorke. I normally don't write reviews but when someone does something good - then it's worth mentioning.

Stewart & I can highly recommend this caravan park as it is well maintained, excellent clean facilities and wonderful managers, Steve & Kristy, who were very helpful to us. On our first night they presented us with scones, lemon curd & whipped cream as well as the people in the next cabin..........that is going the extra mile. Our cabin was right on the beachfront. Coobowie is a very central location to explore southern Yorke Peninsula. Do yourself a favour and visit here as you will not be disappointed. From experience we do not recommend staying at Pt Vincent Caravan Park & Seaside Cabins. We have a holiday house at Moonta Bay and it is nice to go to southern Yorke Peninsula to spend a few days and enjoy the hospitality of the people. Our stay was memorable.

Extremely DISAPPOINTED. We booked in June 2022 and paid a deposit at their advertised rates for the peak season. Late November they emailed saying there’s a price increase from 1 Jan 2023. When we emailed to make sure it was only for new bookings (as most people would assume), we were told that it was for anyone staying after the 1st of Jan 2023. When we were emailed the new invoice, our increase was 20% on our original booking. The communication back from the park was routinely dismissive of the increase and really only wanted to know if we’d pay the increase or cancel so they could get someone else in to pay it. I also pointed out that even in mid December 2022, they still had their prices from June 2022 on their website - this was rectified almost overnight. It was also pointed out to them that nowhere on their website or in their terms and conditions did it state that they can change their prices whenever they want, this was also rectified by the park overnight once highlighted to them.
Beware that if you book here, and pay a deposit, they can increase their prices whenever they want, and not seem to care that they may be making a holiday unaffordable for families on tight budgets. We had been saving towards a specific monetary amount for 6 months to be told 5 weeks out, during an already financially stressful time of the year, that the price point had changed and we had to adhere to the new tariff or cancel the booking. One would question the purpose of a deposit (or even advertising a price) on a booking if changes like this can be made so close to a planned stay.
Will not recommend this park to anyone and will never stay here.

We booked Coobowie retread at the Coobowie Caravan park by pure chance.
We’re looking for large group accommodation (13 of us) for Easter
And as fate would have it, they had just had a cancellation.
We booked it but you still don’t know what you are going to walk in to.
First the park itself… brilliant. Steve, Kirsty and the team do an amazing job. It’s spotless, well equiped and just awesome.
The retreat was perfect!
Sleeps over 30, for our group it could not have been better, has a massive indoor/outdoor area, 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets and showers. Indoor and outdoor/enclosed kitchens.
In the old school building with some fantastic historical information on the walls.
Stop driving through Coobowie, stay instead!

Kristy and Steve really do go the extra mile with this wonderful little gem of a caravan park. Everything from the time you check-in is warm and friendly and park amenities absolutely spotless. They really do make you feel welcome and provide a wonderful base for exploring this beautiful part of South Australia. Highly recommend this caravan park for your next trip. We were initially staying three nights and extended to 6.

We planned on staying 3 nights but ended up here for 5 nights. Super friendly and helpful managers. Super clean facilities. Great camp kitchen, playground and close to the beach. Easy access to the Walk the Yorke trail. Pleasant walk/ride to Edithburgh. The Yorke Peninsula is a windy place but this campground is better sheltered than many of the others we’ve seen. (it’s still windy but the trees help reduce it’s ferocity 😁).

My wife and I love this park. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. When I appeared to need help in locating into my site the manager was on hand to help me. Thanks Steve. The sites are beautifully maintained and the grass is lovely. The amenities, though old, are very well maintained comfortable and clean. While other parks are making affordability an issue this park still offers great deals for longer stays. Thank you for that. Coobowie is located ideally for exploring the lower Yorke Peninsula. What more is there to say than I'll Be Back!

Service at its best
We have been going to this caravan park for years now. Our stay is always pleasant, the managers go above and beyond to help make that happen by providing a good spot for our can, being super friendly, and keeping the park well maintained with clean facilities.
Most fellow campers follow the rules and the nights are quiet after 10pm, happy dogs are kept on leashes and it feels a safe place for families to enjoy their holiday.
