We just spent 3 nights at Sacha Lodge and loved it. Everything is so well organised, the staff is friendly and attentive. The perfect service started at the airport of Quito with guides welcoming us and ended in Quito when we got pack. In between the tours, the meals, the wake up calls everything is organised for you. The rooms...

First things first - we went to Sacha Lodge for the birds, and for the peerless viewing facilites there. These did not disappoint. Oscar Tapuy is an incredible bird guide, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and supremely talented at finding a plethora of hard to see species. Amongst the amazing birds we saw two types of toucan, two types of cotinga, innumerable tanagers,...

This was really an experience of a lifetime! The trip to the lodge took a 30 minute flight, a 2 hour motorized canoe, a 25 minute walk, and a 15 minute guide powered canoe just to get to the lodge. The experience with the local guide and naturalist were outstanding! Very knowledgeable and willing to share. Saw outstanding examples of...

This is an excellent place to stay, the guides make sure the walks suit your abilities and do their best to help you see the birds and monkeys. Caimans are also easy to spot, lizards occasionally but cats are rarely spotted. The surprise is the standard of food and barman's expertise at cocktails. I stayed the full 3 days which...

We have spent three nights and "four" days a Sacha Lodge as part of our two week Ecuador trip. It should be noted that the first half day is spent on arrival to the lodge and the last day is only the transfer. This means you have 2.5 days to enjoy the location. Our six people group was welcome with...

Went there with no expectations and turned out to be an excellent way to meet the jungle and a superb experience. The lodge es very good, with the luxury of having every comfort you could require, in a sustainable and ecological way of solving it. There is no place for fancy and unnecessary items, but the rooms are nice, fresh...

Don't be put off by the idea of a jungle lodge! The lodges are extremely comfortable, clean, bug free and ceiling fans. There is plenty of hot water with a superb bathroom. The guide we had, Luis, was amazing in his knowledge and enthusiasm. It is the best holiday we have had, with the variety of activities laid on by...

Agree with other reviewers. Sacha Lodge is a first rate jungle lodge that will provide an excellent introduction to the rain forest. Having visited the Amazon region in my youth as a backpacker on a budget, this is definitely the way to go. My wife was initially a bit fearful of bringing our children into the wild, but everyone had...
