We stayed for two nights and found the atmosphere at El Jardin to be totally relaxing. This is not a luxury accommodation, nor does it need to be. The setting is tropical, lush and quiet and the rooms are large. Restaurant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Loved that the towels were replaced when we returned from a...

Room was sufficiently nice, not luxurious but we don't go to the edges of the Amazon jungle for luxury rooms. The buildings are lovely wood structures, view from the upper floor looks over manicured tropical gardens. Downstairs were a number of hammocks (would be good if they were also upstairs). The gardens are really lovely. There was a nice hot...

The place is beautiful with lovely garden and nice relaxing hot tubs, nice breakfast, the rooms are clean and pleasant but the beds are hard, the bathrooms are clean and the rooms overall are well equipped. Nice place to get away and relax, take walks, go into the two small hot tubs and have a cold beer. There are no...

Beautiful gardens and a good restaurant on the edge of the Ecuadorian jungle. Quiet and idyllic. Rooms are quite basic but clean. No air con but a ceiling fan which didn't generate a lot of air movement. Hammocks outside were lovely to relax in during the rain. Situated at the beginning of a lovely boardwalk which followed the river for...

This area of Puyo is very nice and secluded. The walk along the malecon is wonderful. The rooms here are spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is way over priced for Puyo. My plate had 4 green beans with my chicken breast at $13. I think they would have more guests if they lowered prices to reflect the area. Staff seemed...

A small creek runs through the restaurant. The food was typical but had some fusion with other food types. Limited menu but everything we ate was good. They carry the Red beer which is Ecuadorian but is hard to find. Hotel looked nice we we did not stay there. They did have Free Wifi!

This hotel is on the edge of town, accessed via a footbridge over a river. It is a picturesque setting and the hotel itself is joyfully pleasing to the eye: wooden buildings nestled amid jungle trees and shrubs. We stayed in a triple room on the first floor, which was lovely. The room was spacious and well presented (luggage racks,...

The highlight of this place, for me, was definitely the restaurant. The food was lovely, filling and not too salty (something we encountered in other places) The rooms were quite basic, but we didn't encounter any serious issues and the theme of the décor was quite charming

Due to a change in itinerary our tour group needed to have an unscheduled lunch somewhere after visiting the Amazoonico Animal Sanctuary. Knowing we were very fussy on well prepared food, our guides chose El Jardin as our meal stop before the long trip back to Quito. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was spacious, airy and clean. There was...

A simple elegant oasis to stay with good service. This was one of the best places we stayed on our trip. The photos are accurate. A great location, clean and comfortable. The walk along the river is great. The food was excellent, better than the more expensive Quito restaurants.
