We spent a week in this beautiful medieval village, a quiet place perfect for relaxing. The B&B Casa di Adelina offered us all the comforts with a very clean modern room but above all with a beautiful view of the Sienese hills. Special thanks to the owner Francesco who is very attentive to the needs of his guests and for the excellent breakfasts...I recommend the cakes and crepes. Thank you with all my heart.

We recently had the privilege of staying for several days in this suggestive structure (in one of the apartments of the "Torre" residence). The experience was pleasant and appreciated to the highest degree due to a variety of difficult circumstances:
- first of all for the uncommon affability and availability of the owner Francesco who supported us in a very satisfactory way, having advised us and planned in a "tailored" way various gastronomic destinations and above all splendid trekking excursions in the incomparable Val d'Orcia which will remain indelible in our memories;
- for the location of the structure within the enchanting and quiet historic village of Monticchiello which has retained its authenticity and charm from times gone by;
- for the excellent quality-price ratio, having stayed in a large, quiet apartment, finely renovated and with attention to every detail where we spent four very pleasant and relaxing days;
- for the quality and variety of the breakfasts prepared by Francesco with fresh and tasty products.
In conclusion we can say that a structure that combines all these positive qualities is not only difficult to find but also impossible to forget.

We stayed at "La Casa di Adelina" one night as a Christmas present from our children.
A beautiful experience, even if very short, but enough to appreciate the beauty of the place and the hospitality of the house and of Francesco.
Everything is very well looked after, you can breathe an air of tranquility and peace everywhere and you can admire unique landscapes.
Perfect for relaxing a bit from city life! We sincerely recommend it.

The town of Monticchiello is a very quaint Tuscan town. There is no parking within the walls overnight. There is parking, but know that it is uphill all the way to La Casa di Adelina. Also, there is no lift, so it is up about 3 small flights of stairs. The lodging is beautiful. There is a common area that is quite large and cozy. My sisters, my husband and I were the only people staying there. The rooms were good size, the bathrooms as well. Showers were European size (a tad tight) but good water pressure and towels! Breakfast was great! Fresh fruit, good size lattes, eggs on toast, assorted breads. We all enjoyed our stay. Francesco was very good at communicating and his wife was really great when she greeted us and got us settled. All 4 of us would highly recommend this hotel. We didn’t do much in town, but we did dine at Daria’s. Great dinner!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully kept inn. We stayed in the torre and had two bedrooms ( air conditioned !) and a kitchen. You can opt for just one room on the first level or bedroom on the upper level with kitchen also if you don't need two bedrooms. Everything was fresh and new and beautifully decorated. There is an amazing tub in the bathroom connected to the kitchen. Francesco, the owner was very helpful and welcoming and will bring you to the inn from the gate of the village when you first arrive. After being in crowded Tuscan villages, montichiello is such a treat. It is charming and quiet with gorgeous views although there are also delicious restaurants so no need to leave the village at night- although one night we went to podere il casale which was a farm to table close by that was worth the drive.
Francesco makes breakfast in the morning and makes his own focaccia!
He is also an artist and has a studio under the inn so you can also bring a piece of montichiello home with you! You are smack in Val d'orcia and very close
To pienza so it a great base for this part of Tuscany. I highly recommend casa di adelina !!!

We can’t say enough about La Casa di Adelina. We had a very wonderful experience. Francesco is a great host. He made us feel very welcomed, he recommended several fun activities in the area, and he made a delicious breakfast every morning! Monticchiello is a charming little town. The sunsets are amazing that overlook the Val d’Orcia. We really hope to visit again. We will certainly tell our forends about it!

Francesco the host was great - he communicated well ahead of time, arranged early check-in and cooked a mean breakfast. Cool air-con rooms were much needed, king bed was comfy and the character building is stunning inside and out. The perfect base for a Tuscan holiday.
Thank you!

We rented a room in this beautiful traditional house and it came with an entire attic for ourselves, with 3 living rooms, two bathrooms and kitchenette. Francesco is a welcoming host full of suggestions for things to see, also off the beaten track.
The bed was big, modern and very comfortable, everything was spotless, at night the silence was absolute and in the morning the breakfast (home made and served by Francesco) was delicious.
The town Monticchiello was a surprise because I didn't realize that it's a tiny but magnificent medieval borgo, with wonderful views on the surrounding countryside and Pienza, which is on the next hilltop, and it gets its own share of tourists in the weekends. On the upside, it's easy to eat well in one of the three restaurants/wine bars without having to take the car and go elsewhere.
I can't recommend this place enough!

A great and very pleasant surprise to arrive and stay in a place like this in the heart of the Val d'Orcia and the Val di Chiana. A spectacular, quiet and evocative village, a wonderful painting at every glimpse.
Relaxation and serenity reign supreme, fantastic accommodation, furnished with care, spacious and functional kitchen, beautiful room with pieces of furniture you don't expect. Very bright and quiet, accessible garden with view of the tower and olive trees. Very friendly and kind host. Definitely a recommended experience! Excellent location for visiting all the other surrounding villages reachable in 15/20 minutes.

I've been to Monticchiello numerous times and this stay was my favorite. Our room was so comfortable and well-appointed. The furniture and decor were so inviting. The shared space was lovely as well, and we very much enjoyed the fresh fruit, baked goods and eggs for breakfast. Francesco was utterly accommodating. We shall recommend to all and return!

Ciao Marina buon pomeriggio, Monticchiello non è collagata con mezzi pubblici, il miglior modo per visitare la Val d'Orcia è auto propria o al massimo bike. A presto Francesco.
