We stayed in a rondavel which was clean but very dark inside. In my opinion, these rooms are overpriced, especially when you consider that Internet is not free and the prices for the meals are quite high. The communal kitchen was dirty, lots of dirty dishes and sticky floors. There was a power outage for one day due to maintenance...

Hi, I am so sorry if you felt neglected, we pride ourselves on good service and customer satisfaction. I was away and did forget to tell the lady in charge that a power cut would occur. Nevertheless we do get the odd outtages and deal with them and make guests feel comfortable. I am sure if you needed any adviceor...

Beautiful view, easy access to facilities (bathroom and kitchen), perfect terrain for the tent. Wifi accessible too, lodge is very comfy and you immediately feel at home when resting in the big room with everyone. No hesitation, you can go there, you will enjoy it !

Well done Ed! (The owner). I stayed in the dorm section of this lodge, on 29/3/16. A warm welcome from the owner, good atmosphere, clean, comfortable beds with two pillows not one! Hot showers and a bath! Quiet. Extra thoughtful touches, such as a Welcome note on the unoccupied bed welcoming the next guest, requests not to make a noise...

We arrived hot an bothered at the lodge only to be met by one of the staff who immediately offered us a cup of coffee or tea. The lodge it self is at the foot of the majestic Drakensberg and during the late afternoon we had the pleasure of seeing the clouds building up over the mountain. During the night...

We liked this place so much we actually ended up staying an extra day rather than driving into Joburg for our final night before catching our flight home! The Inkosana Lodge is a place like no other! The owner (Ed) is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the Drakensburg area, the hostel is clean and well kept and the kitchen was...

Inkosana Lodge offers tremendous value for money. The chalets are basic but very cleaned and well serviced on a daily basis. The communal kitchens are very tidy and provide everything a traveller needs. The ablutions are spotless. The owner is very friendly and helpful and his cooking is marvelous. This is a great place from which to explore the central...

I stayed over at Inkosana with my family of 5 in 2012 (not 2015 unlike what the review date suggests). We had a room with a double bed, bunk bed, mattress and en-suite bathroom. The place is quiet and very affordable. There are facilities for cooking, as well as ablution for bathroom-less rooms or campers. Inkosana has a less-than-impressive swimming...

Hi , our pool was planned that way as a traditional swimming dam, typical on South African farms , we all grew up with them , it is eco -friendly .

The most unbelievable gem hidden in the Drakensberg. As a bunch of friends traveling through the area, we could not have asked for more. Breathtaking scenery, and a unit built on trust and good intentions- look no further than Inkosana. A word of advice- don't start hiking at 12pm haha!

What a great place to lodge yourself when visiting the Drakensburg! We came to hike the mountains and left with a bunch of new friends and memories from the lodge. Ed really is an expert when it comes to the Drakensburg and will give you great hiking/sightseeing advice. The environment is very friendly and communal, the meals are delicious and...

One of the view (and probably the best) hostels in Champagne Valley. Offering dorms / nice private and a great backyard including a pool. The stunning view on the central Drakensberg comes for free. Owner is highly professional and not pushy if it comes to selling tours. Hands out hiking maps and good advices on the area and beyond for...
