We stayed here while doing a self guided cycle from lisbon to sagres and couldn't have ended up in a more welcoming place- fresh orange juice on arrival, chocolate cake in the spotless room and the most wonderful breakfast the next day to get us ready for another day on the road. The couple running the place even placed a little rug on our saddles so that the overnight dew wouldn't wet them! We had access to a kitchen for an early morning, pre breakfast coffee and the fridge was full of little complimentary bottles of beer. Plenty of small talk with the hosts, something you just don't experience in most places. A winner all round. Thank you so much for making our stay so cosy and memorable!

We booked by booking, which we mostly dont do. Our booking crossed another booking but they offered us a different location which was perfect. A very nice and friendly family which had a whole appartment for us. They offered us fresh orange juice direct from their fresh picked oanges, super. The breakfast was in Casa do Adro and this is more then excellent. Fresh fruit, so much, but we were allowed to take this with us for lunch, and delicious. The village itself is wonderful with nice beaches, so this all was a real pleasure.

Idália is an ideal host! She demonstrates hospitality at its best - sincere, thoughtful, and comprehensive! All the little touches, such as homemade chocolate cake, bountiful breakfasts (with extra food to make a picnic lunch), fresh fruit and drinks all day, planning and reservation assistance, quality linens, immaculately clean, etc. all contribute to making Casa do Adro the best option!

Idália’s genuine hospitality comes from her heart. Her sincerity and generosity radiates to her guests in a perfect balance of caring and space. The location is perfect - within walking distance to everything in town and local trekking. It was a perfect holiday and we will definitely return!

"This house is not a hotel"... it is a guest house, a B&B; therefore you should not expect anything different.
A beautiful 17th century house. Convenient free parking nearby.
In mid-November the traffic noises from outside are non-existent, the quality of sleep is excellent even on the ground floor, where our room is located.
The house is clean and tidy, full of decorations and trinkets for all tastes.
We choose the room, to our liking: an apartment with kitchen use on the first floor or one on the ground floor, always with a large private bathroom.
Warm vintage style: the wool blanket, the white piquet one and the bedspread, the likes of which I haven't seen since my mother's time.
The landlady is delightful and confirms that the entire house, including the 24-hour open bar, is at our disposal. Great cleanliness and attention to detail; plenty of soft bath linen, latest generation mattress and very comfortable double pillows. All in all, an excellent stay.
The abundant home-made breakfast, sweet and savory, was appreciated.
A delicious, mouthwatering chocolate cake offer greets us, both at check-in and at check-out.
FYI: The invoice is paid in cash.

This is as good as it gets! Idalia is an amazing host! These 6 rooms are gems and the location in this lovely old town area is perfect! Breakfasts are so good with fresh fruit, eggs & bacon, toast, jelly, ham and cheese. And you can pack up your extra fruit, ham, cheese, bread for your picnic lunch ( Casa do Adro provides wrappings). There is port wine, red & white wine, and aperitifs available for self-service. And cold beer and fruit in the fridge. Dinner recommendations were suggested and reservations made for us. Rota Vicentina hiking advice was provided. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable, and each day a thermos of hot water for tea and several teas were in our room PLUS 2 pieces of the most yummy chocolate cake. I have never stayed at a B&B that went so over the top to make us feel special and help us in any way possible as did Idalia and her husband Antonio and their lovely staff!

It was rather a shock to be welcomed with one's temperature being taken and having to walk, shod, through a footbath!
But the welcome moved on to fresh orange juice and huge slices of the most amazing, moist homemade chocolate cake from the lady of the house.
We salute this elderly couple for opening their home to travellers in this Covid world.
Our room was comfortable and spotless with a very modern en suite and access to a little terrace shared with 2 other rooms.
However we also sat on the beautiful terrace which is used for breakfast which was sumptuous with the most stunning " sculpture " of fresh fruit. Certainly the most generous breakfast of all the places we stayed, including smart country hotels.
The kitchen is stocked with tea, coffee, wine, beer , fruit and even liqueurs and spirits, all on the house.
If you want to feel an honoured guest in a private home, do not miss this very special spot.

You won’t find a more charming guesthouse to stay than this. The owner is delightful and guests so well catered for by her. The top floor is for guests with a communal living room and kitchen with lots of goodies (free). It is well located in Villa Nova do Milfontes on the Rota Vincentina. The breakfast is amazing and beautifully arranged!

We stayed in this 3* guest house and had a lovely experience. The owner is a warm woman who speech good english. She and family live in the home. She welcomed us with fresh squeezed orange juice. Breakfast had more than we could eat and we were encouraged to make a lunch out of the remainder. The house is clean and has lots of pictures of the family. It is in a great location to walk around. The room had a thermos of hot water for tea plus two pieces of great chocolate cake.
It was a wonderful stop on our bike trip.

Casa do Adro is run by an amazingly friendly and hospitable couple. They welcomed us on our hike on the Rota Vicentina. The rooms are exceptionally clean and cozy. There is also a living room that can be used to relax, work or play cardgames.
The breakfast the next morning was truly extraordinary. It is worth mentioning the special buttery toast - just amazing. We have seldomly tasted such a savory fresh orange juice…
We definitely recommend staying at this place!!

We so enjoyed our stay here! Idalia makes you feel so welcome from the moment you arrive (with fresh squeezed juice and her famous chocolate cake!) It was as if you were staying in your own family's home. Rooms were clean, patios were lovely and breakfast and staff was great. Staying here makes you feel like you are staying in a family home. We loved it!
