We recently cycled from Lisbon to the Algarve and the company we cycled with (Cycling Rentals - century cycles) put us up in this lovely hotel in this beautiful town. Our room was at the back looking over the gardens. It had a little terrace. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. The only issue was it had no kettle and being English we’d brought our teabags along for our morning and afternoon cuppa! We were told that there were no kettles to lend us (every other hotel we had been on our trip happily provided us with one to the room or the rooms already had them in!) We we’re told that we could use the shared kettle that was in the main building upstairs on a landing. We dutifully did that and had to trek through the hotel with our hot cups of tea. We are partial to a camomile tea at bedtime but couldn’t even get in to use this ‘shared kettle’ because they lock all the doors at 9 (even the bar closes early too) so unless you had a room in that building you could not go in to use the kettle. Strange. Maybe they need to think about investing in a kettle for the rooms OR providing a kettle for each section that is accessible and not locked by 9 pm! Shame the bar closes, we’d have enjoyed an after dinner drink there - they are missing a trick! Nice little pool out front of the hotel and the staff who do the breakfast, the cleaning and all the laundry were just lovely. The guy on reception was helpful up to a point but just seemed a bit aloof! The town of VN de Milfontes is lovely and the hotel is well situated and you can walk everywhere. Make sure you go to the beach bar for sundowners and the most delicious grilled fish!

We had a fantastic 2 nights stay at Quinta Do Vento, the accommodation is first class and the staff are excellent. It's a lovely, tranquil setting for a short or long break. Marta gave us a very warm welcome, recommending restaurants and giving us information about Milfontes. She even gave us a nice lesson to help us with our Portuguese. We will certainly return.

Nice little accommodation with breakfast. Everything very personal, clean and courteous. Pool to cool off is perfectly sufficient after made trips. Is he a bit hidden and therefore nice and quiet. Recommended, even for longer stay.

Travelled up from the algarve for a 3 day break.we were returning after staying one night in may. This is more than your average b and b. We noted previous comments about small rooms. Check out room 11 which is spacious and has a large balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast is an extensive buffet with all you would expect. The homemade jams are wonderful.
We dined in a local restaurant recommended and booked by the friendly staff.
We will return in 2018.

Booked to stay for 3 nights while travelling from Lisbon to Algarve. We loved the character of the property and relaxed atmosphere. Our room had a huge balcony facing the garden and was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was typical Alentejo products. These were very fresh and plentiful. Bread and croissants were brought warm from the kitchen. The pool area was lovely and nice and quiet. Short stroll into the village which had some really nice restaurants. Lots of nice beaches within walking distance too.

Stayed here for a week whilst on an activity holiday with family in the town. Small hotel, with friendly staff, located a few minutes walk from the village centre which had an abundance of great restaurants. The rooms were simple, clean, and spacious (stayed in room 2, a triple) perfect for what we needed. The gardens of the property were lovely and well kept, there is a small climbing frame with swings and slides that the children loved chilling on. The pool was adequate for the children to play in probably too small if you want to swim lengths. Nice continental breakfast served every morning with fresh orange juice and warm croissants.

Friendly reception with pretty gardens and pool. However, the 'Superior Double' bedroom was anything but 'superior'... a mattress which was past-it's-use-by-date and cheap lumpy pillows (I won't mention the squeaky bed frame!) with minimal space around the bed. Old fashioned furniture and a toilette cistern that malfunctioned, I would be hard pressed to go beyond 3 stars (the breakfast was adequate but nothing special).

Very basic place. Rooms are ( at least ours ) very small . Bathroom also quite tight . Brrakfast not above the minimum you get get in a simple hotel.
But it is very , very clean . Staff are doing their very best . It is centrally positioned .
If your expectations are correctly set , you will like it.

We were on a family activity holiday and Quinta do Moinho de Vento provided the perfect setting to relax and unwind after each day's adventures. The rooms are spotlessly clean and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The pool is small but ideal for relaxing in or playing with the children. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
