Had to wait an age for food and while we were there watched them turn people away without suggesting any other local places to eat. I thought they'd support each other! Oily food when it came and not enough staff...

Good Morning Alastair H, Sometimes when we are very busy we can have a delay on food but we will always keep you informed of this and try to keep to a minimum. I am unsure as to why the food was oily but am sure if my team were made aware they would have fixed for you. We never...

Very sorry that we had a very poor meal as the staff were fabulous. Dry and tastless v=burger and cold chips. very ordinary scampi, again was cold. will think twice about another visit. This was on a Saturday so turn around from kitchen should ensure everything hot!

we have stayed here several times, in the cottages down the road, next door and the main building. OK, so it's a bit tired in places, but we have never had a bad night. The staff are lovely and friendly and if you do have an issue they will put it right. The good is very good and plenty of...

Have just returned from the Bear Hotel in Street, Somerset. Although the weather was drab the room was warm. A little dated, windows wooden and difficult to close. Bathroom adequate however sink had a leak. Toilet took for ages to refill and bath/shower seal around the edges sadly lacking. Generally in need of some TLC and upgrade. Dinner varied and...

Popped in here while it was pouring down with rain for dinner we ate off the £6 menu which in all fairness is a bargain. I had lasagne with salad and garlic bread hubby had a burger with skin of fries and daughter had a children's meal. We all enjoyed our food and would look to visit again. And service...

Expensive for what it is, but you are paying for the High Street location close to Clarks Village and Millfield school. I was charged just under £80 B&B where £65 B&B would have been more appropriate. You won't know in advance whether they will put you in the main building or the cottages down the road. I was in cottage...

Hi Snowbird52 Thank you for your review. I'm glad you found the room to be so clean and spacious! The cottages are ideal as it is much more quiet and slightly removed from the main road. Unfortunately we cannot control the footsteps of other guests, although we wish we could say that we do! We look forward to seeing you...
