We loved our 2 days at the Kennicott Lodge. We booked it together with the round-trip flight from Chitina and the full meal plan. Because of vacancy problems we stayed in the South WIng our first night in a room with a private bath and moved over the second night to the Main Lodge where we had a room with...

Although we heard that the public road to Kennicott/Kennicott Lodge had improved, our rental car company did not authorize us to drive it so we flew from Chitina to McCarthy to begin our fantastic two day visit to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. I really enjoyed my stay at the Lodge and my visit to the National Park and I highly...

We were very impressed by the efficiënt though friendly and welcoming way this hotel was managed. With humor, attention, and foremost together! Staff was really into giving us all a great time. Though diner was served familystyle which was new to us, it gave us the opportunity to meet other guests and we had a great time. Breakfast had a...

We drove the McCarthy Highway in a friend's borrowed truck, expecting the worst from the infamous road, but were very pleasantly surprised to find the road was in extremely good condition. About a third of it was chip-sealed and the rest was flatly-graded mostly without potholes or washboard. I guess that is not always the case, but this year it...

We were in the Wrangell-St. Elias area and decided to arrange for the shuttle to drive us to Kennecott just for the day. The area & lodge is beautiful . The view from the lodge porch is worth the many steps you must climb to reach the dining room. . After a quick lunch we headed out to explore the...

We visit the McCarthy - Kennicott area several times every summer, we have a cabin in the area, so have not stayed at the lodge in many years, but we make a point of coming up to the lodge the last evening of every trip to enjoy some wine on the veranda and overlook the glacier. The atmosphere and staff...

Whether we were there seeking a wonderful meal/shelter one year during a rainfall, or enjoying a cup of tea and a fabulous pastry while we took in the view on their open air veranda, it was a great experience! Fantastic staff and service!

Stayed at the ever so characteristic Kennicott Glacier Lodge where you can either come by Chesna or by 4x4 over the dirt road. The place breathes the atmospere of the mining age when men were digging for copper and others were diggin them for their money. We had no alternative than to stay for dinner at the same place. It...

We stayed in the south wing. These rooms are larger and have attached bath. Kennicott lodge is literally next to the Kennicott mines. The location is very picturesque. We took the meal package. The meals were phenomenal, well worth the $$. We flew in to the Airport and took the shuttle out. The flight in was beautiful gave us an...
