Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Ivanhoe Hotel Motel is a small, neat country pub that offers a limited but quality menu, a very limited wine list and the beer is cold. I had an excellent burger made with fresh meat, not a shop-bought patty, with sweet potato chips, the only lunchtime offering. On another day I had, lamb chops cooked exactly as I had requested and normally served with vegetable but I ordered a salad which was accompanied by mashed potato. Service is friendly and the pub is very comfortable, very popular with the locals. They also offer accommodation but I was staying elsewhere.

The cabin was spacious and very clean with good quality linen and bedding , comfortable mattress and good pillows . The room had a refrigerator , microwave and crockery and cutlery and complimentary tea , coffee/ biscuits/ milk and bottled water . Excellent water pressure in the modern bathroom and a new split system for heating and cooling .
The adjoining hotel had a great meals menu and all the food was of high quality.
Very good accomodation for such a remote and small town .

For an outback village, the motel units of this hotel are quite good. Although the bedding was excellent and the room generally clean, it was obvious that it had not been thoroughly cleaned to covid requirements. The first thing we noticed was an overflowing ash tray on the front porch table, and once inside, it was obvious that the touch points had not been wiped down, the window sills had dust and insects visible.
On the positive side, the A/c unit was very quiet and the unit quite roomy but poorly designed and not soundproof. There were plenty of power points, and a good sized fridge. If you needed a table and chairs, the only option was to bring in the outside table & chairs. There was a comfy 2 seater lounge, but you could not view the TV from it, as it was in the adjacent bedroom.
The hotel meals we had were very good, but again, no covid reqirements in place.

Disappointed, to say the least; both staff were rude, and meals were okay (hamburgers, chips & nuggets and fish and chips). Vodka Cruisers were all out of date (7 months) and flat. The staff didn't make you feel welcome and, wanting to order more drinks, decided to move on to another town.

I rarely come across an Australian pub I don't like, let alone a remote-based pub.

Great little room with everything we needed for a nights stay. Clean bathroom and separate toilet. Vast Tv with flat screen and air conditioning for summer or winter. The pub had basic but well cooked meals.

We stayed here.
Our room was very comfortable with off street parking.
The toilet was separate from the bathroom which is convenient.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Happy hour was a bonus.
We had a good T bone steak and beef schnitzel.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Room was modern, clean and quiet. Comfortable bed. AC ensured room was warm. Good shower. Had dinner in the hotel. Large serve sizes, nicely cooked. Staff keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Stayed here on the way to Wagga Wagga from Broken Hill. Clean, quiet and friendly. Food from the hotel was also great. Big serves, good price.
Couldn’t fault anything. (Kids did want ice cream for dessert and there wasn’t any) other than that all were happy.
