Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely little retreat. Wd stayed on a powered site. Very helpful staff. Nice sunset. Wildlife. Pool looked nice but we didn’t go in. East walk to yacht club and small beach area. Large very clean amenities. Site was a bit rough but ok size. Recommended.

We stayed in a sunset view room. It was a great location viewing the water from between the trees. Only problem, and its a very small one, is that the room is very dated as in 1990s decor dated. Plus the vertical blinds were broken in both bedrooms. If this doesn’t bother you then absolutely go ahead and book. The location is fantastic.

- Located close to the tip of Soldier's Point. Good location to explore most of Port Stephens (various activities, beaches, restaurants etc across Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, Birubi Beach / Anna Bay, Irukandji Shark & Ray encounters and more). - Hygienic and well maintained rooms. Well designed and functional for families. ACs were well maintained. Kitchenette was functional too. - Helpful staff. They look out for ways to help out visitors with specific requests and needs. - The only negative we experienced was that a couple of groups of visitors pretty much cornered the pool on certain days, and were not following basic rules around hygiene (some of them were in the pool wearing their regular clothes!) and common courtesies to others... Quite annoying. I understand that this isn't necessarily under the hotel's control. But the fact that more this crowd was a large% of visitors suggests that this might be regularly tolerated. - We were given a fresh set of towels after the 3rd night, which was nice. - Overall, a good experience! We would be happy to come back here!

Stayed 5 nights with partner and child in a cabin. Great size park, quiet and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation and the pool were very clean and well maintained. This park is located in a lovely setting and not over crowded. We cannot wait to return.

I honestly don't think we have had better service anywhere we have stayed. Without any prompting from us, the team there moved us from a glamping tent to a spa cabin because of the crazy wind and rain - this was such great advice from them. We will definitely go back to stay in a glamping tent because they have the most sensational location and view, but we were pleased to be in the spa villa during the stormy nights. The spa bath is a decent size :) and the villa was clean and comfortable, warm and had everything you need. We were given good advice about local dining and supermarket. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the club for dinner (which meant we could both have a couple of drinks and walk back). The beach is right there and if you keep walking up sunset beach you find really lovely little private beaches. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in Glamping Tent number 6. It was a great stay for my husband and I and our 2 girls. The king size bed was so unbelievably comfortable! The eco toilet in the tent was fine, not smelly at all. The girls loved the shower with the music :) We loved the amount of wildlife there was around and the view of the colourful sunsets. The pool is great for kids as there was a smaller pool to splash around in for the younger ones. There was a park across the road from the resort which the kids loved, and we also took a few walks around the marina. We fished down at the beach and at the boat ramp which was nice and close. The only downfall i would have for our stay would be no lighting on the deck of the tent for the evenings, so once the kids were in bed we could have sat outside and enjoyed a drink - apart from that everything was wonderful!

It felt really special to stay here in one of the glamping tents. It was such a nice spot and boutique feeling for a leisure park. We stayed during the week and felt like we had the place to ourselves although there were others around. The accommodation was so well appointed with added touches like dish washing things a really nice surprise. Although we got quite a bit of rain during our stay, being inside the glamping tent was not an issue when we could open the window flaps and watch the rain outside. Sitting on the patio in the morning for breakfast and looking out to the water with the bird life coming over to investigate what we were up to was lovely too. Would definitely go back.

We stayed for two nights in the glamping tents overlooking the water. The location, presentation of the tents, and the friendliness of the staff were all amazing. Our kids loved the experience, especially the bath with music and the pool! We will definitely be going back.
