It felt really special to stay here in one of the glamping tents. It was such a nice spot and boutique feeling for a leisure park. We stayed during the week and felt like we had the place to ourselves although there were others around. The accommodation was so well appointed with added touches like dish washing things a really nice surprise. Although we got quite a bit of rain during our stay, being inside the glamping tent was not an issue when we could open the window flaps and watch the rain outside. Sitting on the patio in the morning for breakfast and looking out to the water with the bird life coming over to investigate what we were up to was lovely too. Would definitely go back.

Decided to try the glamping tents for a weekend away, I was nervous but was pleasantly surprised how amazing and luxurious of an experience this was at an affordable price. The tent is beautifully presented with everything you need, from a glowing log fire heater, large TV, comfortable bed to fridge and kitchen items. Thou Walla has beautiful grounds which are cared for and is perfectly located near the marina which provides an amazing back drop on your tent veranda at sunset and easy access to restaurants, coffee and breakfast for those who want a break from cooking.

I honestly don't think we have had better service anywhere we have stayed. Without any prompting from us, the team there moved us from a glamping tent to a spa cabin because of the crazy wind and rain - this was such great advice from them. We will definitely go back to stay in a glamping tent because they have the most sensational location and view, but we were pleased to be in the spa villa during the stormy nights. The spa bath is a decent size :) and the villa was clean and comfortable, warm and had everything you need. We were given good advice about local dining and supermarket. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the club for dinner (which meant we could both have a couple of drinks and walk back). The beach is right there and if you keep walking up sunset beach you find really lovely little private beaches. We will definitely be back.

We booked for 3 nights for Glamping Tent as this place was recommended to us by friends. En route to this park, we received a phone call regarding the weather during our stay. We were told that the weather for our first night was to be windy, but we had the option of staying in the tent or in a cabin for the night. We decided to stay in the cabin for 1 night as advised by the staff and we were told that we could enjoy the tent for our remaining 2 nights.
After our first night we decided to move our belongings to the tent. The tent itself is very nicely decorated and satisfied our expectations so we were looking forward to spending at least two nights there. We did spot a few big spiders though which we had to remove ourselves even after informing staff. As we returned our keys from the cabin to reception after moving our belongings, we were then told that we couldn't stay in the tent that night either. Obviously we were very disappointed again but also really confused as there was a complete lack of communication from the staff. We had to bring back our belongings from the tent to the cabin again for a second night.
The next morning, we assumed things would be fine for our third and final night as nobody approached us about not being able to stay in the tent. We moved our belongings AGAIN to the tent at 12pm and spent an hour in the tent. We were happy to stay here for the night as we assumed it was okay to do so. When we returned our keys for the cabin AGAIN, we were told then that the glamping tents would be closed entirely for the weekend. At this stage, we felt completely misinformed about our entire stay and the lack of communication was infuriating. We then also learned that other guests in the same situation had been offered a rescheduling of dates, which had never even been mentioned to us. If this had been offered, we wouldn't have travelled 5 hours to get here and would have stayed in the tent when we would have been allowed. We ended up spending 4 nights in the cabin, which was basic but not good value for money. The WiFi was also terrible during our stay.
All in all, we felt that we completely wasted our time here and our issue is with how the issue was dealt with, as we understand the weather is out of everybody's control. We felt that if we were given a clear yes or no from the start and if we were informed of the park's adverse weather policy, the matter would have been dealt with much more professionally and I wouldn't be writing this review. Our entire stay consisted of repeated disappointment, unclear communication and false hope.

We stayed for 3 nights in a glamping tent! Such an awesome experience. From the point we checked in the receptionist was SO lovely and as excited for our stay as we were. The glamping tent was beautiful and really spacious and clean with an amazing view especially for the sunset. The shower had lights and played music which was really cool. The eco-friendly toilet was abit strange but you also got a key to the camp-site bathroom aswell if needed.

We absolutely loved our stay in the glamping tent at Thou Walla. The tent far exceeded our expectations, the bed was so comfortable, the shower amazing and the balcony over looking the water was magical. We left feeling so relaxed. My only recommendation would be adding a little bbq to the deck that way you wouldn’t need to leave the tent for anything! Having said that the camp kitchen/facilities were very well equipped, clean and spacious so using those was not a problem at all. The pool looked very inviting unfortunately due to covid it was closed but it’s a great excuse to come back another time. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
Thanks again for our stay :)

We stayed here in a caravan which is not the main focus of this resort but it was great. The resort mainly has cabin type accommodation and glamping tents but has 11 van spots. From the moment we checked in the staff could not do enough for us, everyone we came in contact with was very helpful and so friendly. The amenities block is a bit old and outdated but still very clean, as we have our own shower and toilet in the van this wasn't an issue. The marina and restaurants are walking distance so that is a bonus. I won't hesitate staying here again although I think we were a bit spoiled as there were very, very few people in the resort while we were there.

We were told about this place through a friend. Glamping was new to us but it was a lovely change. From check in to check out, the staff were very friendly. The glamping tent was a great size, comfy king bed, warm shower and great little heater that looks like a fireplace. The locals (possums) are very friendly. Close proximity to everything you need but far enough way from reality. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you Thou Walla. See you again soon.

We stayed in Glamping Tent number 6.
It was a great stay for my husband and I and our 2 girls. The king size bed was so unbelievably comfortable!
The eco toilet in the tent was fine, not smelly at all. The girls loved the shower with the music :)
We loved the amount of wildlife there was around and the view of the colourful sunsets. The pool is great for kids as there was a smaller pool to splash around in for the younger ones. There was a park across the road from the resort which the kids loved, and we also took a few walks around the marina. We fished down at the beach and at the boat ramp which was nice and close.
The only downfall i would have for our stay would be no lighting on the deck of the tent for the evenings, so once the kids were in bed we could have sat outside and enjoyed a drink - apart from that everything was wonderful!

Everything was lovely except for the absence of internet service. I asked for someone to come and try to help us and they said that the reception was poor. OK well then don't advertise that you have internet when you don't!
Overall the room was super clean, freshly painted and had everything we needed for the stay. The landscaping was really beautiful and I thought overall it was great value for money. Great for family!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time. We had a great time with our 2 children. From the accomodation, facilities to the staff, we could'nt complain at all. To give you an example, I was able to leave my partner at the accomodation with our youngest child on several occasions while I took my eldest out for walks to the beach, to the park speaking with locals who never had a bad thing to say of the location, etc. We were treated well at Thou Walla by the staff and even used the BBQ area near the pool at night. No Balangalo State forest for us, just a three night blissful stay. I guess if you pick at every little thing and look for trouble, you will find it.

Hi All the glamping tents look over the water. Each tent has a fire and is quite warm but in July you might not get the weather to sit out on the balcony and watch the sunset!
