On arrival, no receptionist. When receptionist came we had to wait 40 mins as they did not check their online booking system this day it was 5 pm!! Asked to wait in the bar, the chairs and floors and tables were filthy. Rooms rearranged and eventually ready, keys not working now- asked reception to amend and they apologised and said...

Very very poor hotel. Staff at reception on arrival unfriendly. First they could not find reservations and then they just handed keys. Hotel layout is not friendly and it took us a good ten minutes to figure out where the room was. Rooms are as simple and bare as they get. Heating was turned off and was not working. The...

Took my grand-aunt out for dinner today. Only one man was manning the bar and restaurant. He was the bar manager Colin. He epitomised what hospitality was all about. Very friendly, knowledgeable about the locality especially the history and a great worker. He was on his own today but kept the bar running very smoothly. It was by no means...

They were more than accommodating in providing dinner for us, which was tasty and plentiful, just want we needed after a long drive. And the wedding was in the late afternoon so I asked about a...

Beautiful hotel in centre of Lismore. Triple room had more enough room for three people. Evening meal was excellent would highly recommend eating at their restaurant. The entrance to Lismore Castle grounds is across the street. Sunday morning market at the Castle entrance is worth a visit.

We stayed two nights in this delightful hotel. We had views over Lismore Castle and the Blackwater River. Staff were amazing and nothing close too much trouble. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. A cooked breakfast would set you up for the whole day. I would recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

On the latter end of a family vacation this summer, we decided to stay in Lismore as a one day extension to our trip. I called the Lismore House Hotel and specifically requested a family room; we have two small kids. The receptionist advised that they had a vacancy and offered the room. I accepted and called back a few...
