I called in for lunch today, staff were very friendly and helpful, but the central heating was not working, had lunch right beside an electric heater, did some business also, but eventually I had to leave as I became too cold, had to drive to the next town to continue my business and warm up beside the fire with a... My first experience at lismore house hotel wasn't great! But I decided to give it another go- bad idea! My daughter got the Lamb, the lamb to be fair wasn't that bad it seamed tender enough, but the potatoes were like soap, they tasted dreadful. My son had the bangers and mash- mash the same horrible- lumpy and soapy. And... More

On passing through Lismore I asked one of the local people where myself and my mother could get a lovely lunch as she happens to be particularly fussy. I was recommended Lismore Hotel. We most certainly were not dissapointed, I had Tuna Melt which came served with fresh chips, coleslaw and salad..and I can honestly say it was the best... More

Restaurant was closed when I arrived at 8.30 pm Music in the Bar area, a bit loud as it could be heard up stairs in the bedrooms The towels had been washed over a number of years and needs replacing. Breakfast food served on a cold plate, Breakfast an... More

Firstly let me say that the front of hose staff here are wonderful and did all they could to make our stay a happy one. Secondly I want to say that our room and bathroom were perfect. That was the good news! They are seriously understaffed, the man running the bar was also dealing with reception when we arrived and... More

What a shame, such a charming looking building from the outside, but inside is another story. The lobby is shabby, at best, with an unpleasant odor and never manned - you must call to have someone come from the kitchen to help you. When I asked for a local map, I was simply told they didn't have any - no... More

Had a good menu, and a page totally for Gluten Free. I had a super steak and it was cooked perfectly. Home made soup was excellent. Had no room for dessert! Would recommend this for lunch. Service was very good and the waitresses were very knowledgeable about allergies.

We stayed for two nights at this hotel and whilst the hotel is rated as a 3 star so any stay should be based in that rating, there are a few things that management could change to bring it to the upper end of that scale. For instance, the room we stayed in was directly above the main entrance and... More

I visited lismore castle gardens on 24 July 2016 . We then went to lismore house hotel for some Sunday lunch I thought when we went in it looked okay but we were so disappointed when we received menu which looked very good but when food arrived it was tasteless and badly presented. I would say it's up there with... More
