We booked this hotel for our last night in France and were impressed with the parking and the location close to the estuary. On arrival we were handed the key to Room 3 with hardly a greeting, except to ask if were taking dinner. The room was small and hardly enough space around the bed, which had been well used....

We stayed here for one night in July 2016 with friends. The rooms on the rear side of the hotel are not very big but comfortably, clean and maintained. The hotel itself has loads of character (as you can see from the photos) and has a fantastic restaurant which does different priced set meals from €20, 29,39,49. We had the...

Lovely set menus from 20€ to 49€ , I have tried each of them and whilst the choices are different on the menus, the attention to detail for every item on all of them is exceptionally good value . Attentive staff, excellent service and exceptional food make this a quality French restaurant . If there is one comment , the...

This is out second visit, this time a room with view over the bay and a balcony - although not big enough to go out on (and crumbing a little). A regular 2* French hotel in the sense that the room was a little tight especially the bathroom but had all we needed and having a kettle in the room...

We have stayed here several times before and have been pleased but this time was not good. We booked in January and confirmed in person when we visited in February but when we arrived the triple room we had booked was not available and they refused to speak English to us even though there is a large sign saying they...

We arrived on a wet evening to this hotel and first thuoghts on looking at it was something from the Adams family - but not in a derogatory way! It does stand out amongst the other hotels and large house along the river front. It does look as if it has seen better days, and could do with a little...

I first visited the Guillaume de Normandy some years ago, when we had a long leisurely lunch in the main dining room. Since then I have returned to stay and eat at the hotel on more than one occasion. The heart of the hotel is the restaurant which is popular with both locals and guests. On the nights that we...

I am writing my first review for Trip Advisor because I first visited this hotel 45 years ago and continued to visit for many years after. The hotel was always charming in a very French way - the floorboards creaked and the plumbing made noises, but the rooms were delightful. The food was tremendous at an amazingly low cost for...

I love this place. It is quirky and it is a two star but it just works. The location is fabulous, parking is easy, you can get great views (ask about the room you are getting though), the owner and staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and the food is to die for. There is no lift and the stairs...

St Valery is a delightful historic town just 15/20 mins from the motorway, so it makes a very convenient overnight stop. We have been coming to this hotel for several years and have never been disaapointed. The buiding is old, so there is no lift, but it has character. The rooms are fairly small but have been very tastefully furnished...
