Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Where to start?! The villa is incredible and the hosts fantastic. The villa is beautifully decorated, en suites and aircon in each room, stunning pool, beautiful scenery. The kitchen is also a full commercial kitchen so a dream to cook in (or to have caterers cook for you!). Plenty of communal space and lovely indoor / outdoor dining options. The hosts were fantastic and very communicative throughout. We had a problem with our car on the final day and were in a bit of a panic as we needed to get the the airport. Our hosts were fabulous and managed to get a local mechanic out to us, and handle the conversations in Italian on the phone (we don’t speak good Italian). They were also very helpful bringing us water etc as it was hot outside! The three dogs (and some cats) at the property are gorgeous and friendly. We had two young kids and the dogs were great with them. We understand if you don’t like dogs that the hosts can keep the dogs away, but we loved to have the dogs with us, and had plenty of cuddles etc. There were also bees and we had a great experience visiting the bee hives and learning about bee keeping. We also had a catered meal, which was great.

We spent just one night in this structure and if you want to recharge your batteries, far from the crowded beaches in high season, is the right place. Nice spacious room, swimming pool, nature, silence and a very delicious breakfast full of a lot of things. The host Carmelo and his wife are so kind and suggested us a lot of things to do in Caltagirone and Piazza Armerina. Maybe they should just try to take more care about the garden...and the small road gate-house.

We spent 3 nights in the Riserva del Noce. It felt like an oasis after several days strolling in the big cities - quiet, full privacy, beautiful surroundings. We all loved the swimming pool and relaxing areas in the garden. Hosts were very friendly and open to fulfil our needs. We ate all breakfasts and dinners at the house and everything was delicious, freshly made from the local products. Suggest to visit also Caltagirone old town, it's beautiful.

We had a booking for 1 night and we arrived at the Riserva in the afternoon, looking forward to enjoy a warm welcome, a peaceful evening with delicious local food. The welcome was rather cold and the owner invited us to get back in town for dinner. But the whole point for us was to enjoy the local food of the agriturismo, so we said we'd prefer to eat at there. The owner told us: "I don't have much, but I can cook something". Really?! Honestly, you own an agriturismo and you know you have guests coming: you should have enough in your fridge to serve your clients proper Sicilian food. We are italian and well travelled in Sicily, and that wasn't good Sicilian food to be honest (tuna, most likely from the freezer) - probably the worst meal we had. Quite disappointing when you know what a meal in an agriturismo should be. Apart from this, the place is lovely and quite. We enjoy a beautiful sunset. The rooms are well designed, clean and the breakfast was devine, with plenty of delicious sicilian delicatessen.

Response from carmi182, Proprietario at Riserva del Noce
Responded 2 Jan 2019
Saluti Carmelo Nicotra

Our family stayed for one evening and had a tremendous experience. Carmelo and Anna are the perfect hosts and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The stunning grounds and pool beckoned to us. This setting surpassed our expectations and our room was beautifully appointed, in short: we couldn't have been happier with our choice. We will definitely be returning to this magical spot.

The house itself, architectually designed in the most clean crisp lines and lots of light. Carmelo, Anna and his son and beautiful dog Lily, greeted. The guest rooms are bright, spacious and country rustic. Nice bathroom. We got there at 2 and rand the doorbell however no one answered to we drove to Piazza Armenia for a 2 hour jaunt and returned- and the gates opened! Carmelo met us - not sure why we were there! However I showed him our confirmation made 2 months earlier and all was fine. We parked and they made us feel welcome. The breakfast the next morning was basic and perfect. His son helped us check out and was just a lovely young man. Thank you!

We ( my wife, daughter and parents) stayed here for a week in September. The facilities were very clean and the pool was very welcomed during a hot day in Sicily! The family that run the facility are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast each morning was plentiful and full of local fruits and pastries, yum! We ate dinner on a couple of occasions and really enjoyed the food and company from other guests. The wifi was excellent. Of course cannot finish the review without mentioning the dog who was very friendly and enjoys company!

Beautiful set-up: nice, clean, simple rooms around a pool at the end of the street in the middle of nature. But not too much nature since you can arrive in Caltagirone in a few minutes. Great common room area with fire place, good design, great big square glass room area (indoor/outdoor) for breakfast and dinner. The owner also happens to be an excellent chef. His antipasto samples are some of the best on the island. The breakfasts are delicious and include local pastries. Owners are very nice too.

This agriturismo is about 20 minutes outside Caltagirone. We arrived on the second day of the "Festivale delle Candele" in Caltagirone, which we really wanted to see but didn't want to take our cars. The owners, Carmelo and Anna, offered to take us into town to see this, which was very generous. They were a very friendly couple, keen to make our brief stay memorable. The lunch and breakfast we had there were excellent. Rooms were very clean, as was the large swimming pool. Thoroughly recommend!
