Costa Malabari, a beach facing property was our idyllic getaway for 2 nights and 3 days. Location is spectacular and the access to a near private beach is enticing. Property – Average space. Worth exploring only for beach views. Rooms are small, amenities nil and bathrooms need better upkeep. Basics such as dustbins in rooms and restrooms are missing. Shared... More

We were a large group of 21 people who visited costa malbari on 3rd September. We had booked 2 cottages which where well maintained and food served was wonderful especially the fish. The beach is very close by. Only suggestion would be the increase the number of options for vegetarians

Costa Malabari, a property taken care off by Mr. Kurien is a fantastic homestay. They have two properties, one a bit away from the beach while the other is on a small cliff top right on top of an almost private beach, shared by I think not more than 2 more properties. We stayed in the one which is on... More

Mr. Kurien and his properties Costa 1 and 2 (the latter is highly recommended) are an excellent poposition for a blissful holiday. Please note that the charges are on the higher end and there is no tv. If you are a person who finds it bothersome, then there are some newer homestays opened up nearby. Food served is traditional unlimited... More

We spent 3 days at this hotel very close to Tottada beach, I say, the paradise. The food was absolutely good, people are awesome and polite, let you repeat as you want in every meal, and you can also choose between indian and international breakfast. In this hotel, you have the possibility to go with the Teyyam guide. Teyyam is... More

We stayed for a couple of nights as a family group wanting to spend time together. We rented the whole house located at a height above the beach. The place had no pretenses, was very clean, very good homely food and access to a clean almost private cove. The water enthusiasts spend a great deal of time in the sea while... More

I stayed three nights in order to find the Theyyam, the ritual/narrative performance peculiar to this part of Kerala. Thanks to the local knowledge of the caretaker Mr Kurien, I managed to attend three Theyyams. This is a quiet place, out of town, not known to all drivers so make sure you have the phone number, a pleasant cliff-top location,... More

Spent five days here back in 2011. Loved every second. The beach was near deserted all the time (I think we saw seven other people on it in those five days and only two of them stayed there for any length of time). The food was top drawer and it was just the perfect place to get away from everything... More

We were driving from Noth Goa to Kochi ( Cochin) and by the time we reached Kannur it was time to find somewhere to stay for the night. Using a well know travel guide we called several places that were either without enough rooms for 5 of us or were just diffident. We then called the Costa Malabari and there... More

Costa Malabari is a delightfull place to stay. We stayed in Costa Malabari 3, which is a bit further removed from the beach. It is conveniently located in between the beach and the smaller backwaters and far enough from Kannur to have a peacefull stay. The rooms are clean, the beds are nice, the shower is warm, the Western toilet... More
