The hotel was beyond our expectations. The location was beautiful and the facilities of the hotel were clean. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff just made our accommodation better. It's very nice to feel like your home and this hotel made this thing a reality. I highly recommend it if you are going on holidays in Greece. Thank you!
Good points - the beach is raked so the sand directly outside the hotel is nice. The view of mount olympus is pretty. Bad points - Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you definitely need a car. The “gym” is a non-air conditioned room with a bench and running machine in it. The spa is closed due to Covid restrictions but they’ve let it go to ruin so the whole spa area looks like it’s been through a zombie apocalypse. The food is mediocre - some of the salads were nice but most of the hot food is inedible. Wine was rubbish and expensive, as were most drinks. The sheets on the bed were polyester so made us sweat despite air con. We moved rooms after two nights as the “pool/sea” view room we booked, wasn’t actually available until the Monday. In the first room, the bath plug didn’t work, the main lights didn’t work and the fridge leaked. We told reception all this but instead of actually fixing any of this, they put new guests in straight away. There were also a couple of times where we felt the staff were particularly discriminatory against us - whether that’s because we are British or because my partner is mixed race - as I’m not sure what other explanation can be given for these scenarios. The first was when we checked in I asked if we could upgrade to all inclusive - we were told they didn’t do all inclusive but then one night at dinner when we ordered drinks, the waiter asked “do you have bands? Are you all inclusive?”. I replied “I thought you didn’t offer all inclusive?” But didn’t actually get an answer. There was also a night at dinner when there was no tables free that were set up outside. We asked if we could sit on a table that didn’t currently have a table cloth on it and we were told “no, it’s closed” but ten minutes later we noticed they had set up the table for a different couple!! I also noticed a lot of these reviews mention the manager and how attentive he was. Not once were we asked how our stay was and did not receive any attention from the manager at all. I don’t want to call the staff racist if there were genuine reasons for this experience but I just don’t know what else could explain it.…
Accommodation at Dion Hotel was more than expected! Our room was clean, with great view. The food was delicious with a variety of dishes everyday. The stuff was smiling and polite. They helped us out with great ideas for our vacation. Our neighbors were a little bit noisy, but ok...! I wish we were still there!!!
At the end of August, we spent the summer with two small children in this hotel. We are primarily very satisfied with the cleanliness in the rooms and in the hotel itself. The entire staff was very cordial and kind. The food was great and varied. The pools were clean and every night robots cleaned the water. We also celebrated our daughter's second birthday there, where the entire staff and especially the general manager Vassalos Manolis made an effort to make our birthday fantastic. Great compliments and see you again
I’m not a big review guy by any means, but I had to share my experience with ya’ll, couldn’t pass on this one. This place is unlike any other, and I mean it. We had a two week stay and we were not disappointed at all ! The location is beautiful, the staff is extremely professional and friendly, there is a really wide variety of food, from breakfast to dinner, including meats, seafood, desserts, salads, everything you can think of and a bit more ! They even have their own little garden, tennis court, gym, this really is a 5 star hotel. We booked the bungalow, the sea is really close to it, loved every aspect of the room. Words cannot do justice when it comes to describing the experince we had here, we had the time of our lives ! Much love for the staff, we have the utmost respect for you guys !!!…
