Great ski trip with good friends. Excellent accomodation, skiing food and drinks. Resort was originally built to house the press for the Olympic games in Torino, so it has a great village feel versus a big resort hotel. Food variety and quality was very good, as were the apres ski drinks. Really enjoyed ourselves and were sorry to leave. One of the best parts of the trip was our guide Luca. (the tall Luca whose brother Andrea is also a guide) Luca kept the group together, showed us the best skiing spots around the resort, shared colourful stories about local towns and people, took us to two wonderful restaurants on the hill, and was overall an amazingly attentive, insightful, and capable guide. While he was a great guide, he felt more like a good friend by the end of the week. Best ski trip I can remember.

We have been going to Club Meds for 10 years and have only had great experiences. This one did not live up to our expectations. It was my husband's dream to ski in Europe with our teen son and we planned the trip a year in advance. I'm not sure there was much positive about it. We booked the entire trip (including air) through Club Med. A few ugly details: 1. We got to our departure airport and were told there was no reservation for us on Lufthansa. We had the Club Med reservation printed and handy, but Lufthansa said Club Med "booked the travel, but did not reserve seats". So, we had to go to United to get on a flight or skip the trip in its entirety. It was incredibly stressful trying to get on a flight. Club Med offered us NO HELP. United stepped in and helped us get on a plane. Yes, we ran like heck to make a flight. 2. Our luggage/skis were lost and did not show up at the resort for 4 days. Club Med offered us NO HELP. We spent hours calling to try to track it down. 3. Because we had no gear, we only were able to ski 2 days. 4. When we did ski, we asked to be put as a family in a group, but Club Med doesn't allow this. Even though our son is an advanced skier, they don't allow kids/adults in the same group. So, the lessons that we paid for went unused as we wanted to ski as a family (I thought Club Med was a FAMILY resort). 5. The pool was great. 6. My son loved the food. 7. Because we had so much trouble with our outbound flight, we called a few days before we were supposed to depart to confirm our flights home. No surprise...they had been canceled. Club Med put us on non connecting flights - Turin - Munich/Frankfurt -SF...with no way to get from Munich to Frankfurt. At this point, I lost my patience for Club Med. I called United and booked us home using our reward miles. We had to leave 2 days early in order to get on a flight with seats. So, in summary: we paid $10,000 to fly from California to Italy to ski for 2 days and spend the rest of the time on the phone trying to find luggage or rebook flights. Did I mention that Club Med gave us NO HELP! There was one nice gentleman at the front desk who was sympathetic, but said "this is Italy, in the mountains". If you don't have clothes and skis, there is nothing to do. There is no village to wonder around. There is no exercise facility...just a small room in which to stretch. So, we sat in our room, read, and walked on the cross country trails.

Sounds like the flavour of a delicious ice cream, right? I took my boys 9 and 11 skiing in the Piedmont mountains within a Club Med village. We had a fabulous week at all levels from our arrival at the village until our departure. All facilities are clean and welcoming, entertainment was great too thanks to the GO and the musicians. Food was amazing, different culinary surprises evevry nights at the main restaurant amid delicious Italian specialties. La Tratoria was the perfect choice for Italian food lovers like us. Skiing was great, a few snowfalls made the conditions fantastic. Material rented at the Club was good and the courses for the kids with the Italian ski school made them progress greatly. We met a lot of nice and fun others GM and all 3 of us did not want to go home after a week! We hope that as soon as that virus epidemic is under controlled that many people will stay at the Club Med in Pragelato as we know that Michele's whole team will make their stay fabulous.

It is obvious, we love this club, the mountains, the slopes, the Italian ski school, the accommodation, the food etc...what made the difference this year compared to the previous years, is the people. And I speak mainly about Michele, the chef de village. He is everywhere from morning till late night (does he ever have a moment for himself??), making sure people are happy and everything runs smoothly and is well organised. (Some obvious improvements: kids corner at the bar, free parking, tea bags at discretion, music on the slopes, at the top of the gondola, punctual departures - kids had to wait much less to depart, better wifi, less waiting time at the food stations). Due to the recent outspread of Corona virus in Italy, people were a bit concerned. Michele was always there providing info and reassuring people. Everything was under control and extra hygiene measures were taken. Sanitizers everywhere! Adults and kids were surprisingly educated and used them frequently. I can only say Grazie Michele to you and your efficient team. I would also like to thank my ski monitor Fabrizio, for making it another great ski week for us. We went from very warm days with melting snow to freezing storms, but he was always there helping us adapt to the snow and weather, correcting us and giving us confidence. Thank you! I dream already about a 5th return! :) :)

My wife and I spent the Feb last week and we had a wonderful and very pleasant stay. Not only we had great time on the slopes but also in the ClubMed thanks to the very warm and welcome GO team. We would like to leave a special thanks to Gianfranco (always smiling and speaking portuguese with us) and to Gerrard Jayme our Sci Maestro that showed a lot of sympathy and patience with us (and speaking portuguese too!). Just on the less positive side we would mention the inside entertainment area of ClubMed a little bit too crowded with lower roof - could be a bit better. Also despite the nice and spacious room, it would be good to have a better cleaning before arrival/during stay. Once again it was a wonderful week! And great food too!!!
