It really is a great experience staying at the Aquapackers. The hosts pick you up at the beach and welcome you on board of their very comfortable houseboat. You can have as much tea and coffee as you wish for and there are two hot showers, one inside and another one on the outer deck. It is great taking a...

Wasn't sure what to expect. Everything exceeded my expectations. It's a lovely boat run by an amazing couple. The food was awesome, great swimming and the dorm rooms were great. It was a nice opportunity to meet people and the couple running it were helpful in every way. I had this recommended to me and in turn I can't recommend...

My girlfriend and I spent a night in the Aquabackpackers after a all day kayaking on the Abel Tasman National Park, and it was just amazing! We really appreciated to have a hot shower and a delicious barbecue at night, and meet some nice groups. If you want, you can also jump from the top of the boat, which was...

We stayed on the boat for one night while doing a three-day walk through the Abel Tasman National Park. Didn't really know what to expect and it was great! We had our own room which was very clean and comfortable and a shared bathroom which got a bit busy in the morning but no real problem. Took in a bottle...

In truth, we usually book more upmarket accommodation but sometimes to stay where you want to stay you have to be flexible. The good news for us here is that we were able to book one of the private cabins! Sharing the bathroom? No problem and they are absolutely fine. Otherwise the boat is large enough to be able to...

Very friendly owners. Very well organised. We had a small cabin with a double bed and views of the night sky. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was good and plenty of it, cooked by the owners. We were taken to see glow worms after it grew dark. The next morning we were taken to the next bay to continue...

We spent one night on the Aquapackers whilst walking the Abel Tasman Track and absolutely loved our time on board. We stayed in a double cabin which was really comfy and cosy and we both slept really well. Bathrooms were shared, but this wasn't a problem and I think everyone was able to enjoy a hot shower. A short helpful...

We stayed on the Aquapackers boat as part of our family trip (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a grandmother) to Abel Tasman national park - and it was the highlight of our trip. Jane and Mark are amazing hosts, and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing. Starting with homemade Scones on arrival, a delicious BBQ...

Unfortunately, we just had one night on that wonderful boat but it was the best night that we had on the South Island. Jane and Marc are lovely people - friendly, caring and just so nice! The dinner was a highlight. There were 5 different fresh salads and sausages, chicken wings and so on.... it was sooooo delicious!!! The same...
