I stayed in Baldash Lodge with my other half in mid-February and can say that the cottage is even better than we thought it would be! Set in East Devon, only a short distance to a number of seaside villages and towns, the location is perfect. It is just a short trip to either Sidmouth or Lyme Regis, and an...

My husband and I booked a week here at the cottage. It is simply beautiful. The double room we stayed in was plenty large enough and the bed was very comfortable and the bedding was very clean and soft. The room is immaculate. You need to select your breakfast menu the night before but there is so much choice. Only...

This is the second time I've spent a holiday here and hopefully it won't be the last. Nothing is too much trouble for the proprietors to make your stay top class. Hard to write something different from other reviews on this accommodation, anyone mentioned underfloor heating? No cold feet stepping out of the shower! Breakfast is anything you require cooked...

Always a pleasure to visit Baldash Cottage. Paul and Bru are good friends and amazing hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The area offers a lot, beach, good walks and there are two pubs in the village.

We spent 3 nights here on the SWCoast Path walk. It is a secluded spot, with a beautiful house and garden. The cottage has been lovingly renovated. Paul and Bru are excellent hosts, Paul specialising in breakfasts and coast path advice! Nothing was too much trouble for Bru and the bedrooms are beautifully kept and ordered.

We arrived late at night and were greeted by the hosts with glasses of wine. The bedrooms were spotlessly clean and up-to-date, which was remarkable as the house itself is a very old, thatched roof cottage nestled in a hundred acres of scenic beauty. The breakfast was laid out in an attractive dining room that reminded me of Downton Abbey,...

We stayed here for 5 nights and felt so looked after and comfortable. Thanks so much to Paul and Bru for making us feel so welcome. My room was spacious and comfortable in every way. They think of everything. I was particularly grateful for help on finding the walking paths, loan of ordinance maps, tips on where to eat and...

Baldash Cottage is no ordinary B&B. It's a delightful thatched cottage in a secluded valley, with lovely landscaped grounds with pheasants wandering around and lots of birds and other wildlife to watch. This was only our second visit to Baldash, but we were greeted with hugs and tea and cakes on the patio. The inside of the house is delightful,...

Once again, a fabulous weekend away, this time for a girls' weekend. Every last detail is thought of by Paul and Bru, even down to keeping a bottle of bubbly cold for us in their fridge when we arrived until our second night, when Bru left it out for us just before we got back! We will be back and,...
