Excellent bed and breakfast in the middle of middleton in teesdale. The owner was lovely and friendly and we received a warm welcome. We stayed in room 4 which was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The welcome tray had fresh fruit, home made biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The mini fridge in the room had fresh milk and 2...

We stayed here two nights during September whilst walking The Pennine Way. Very warm kind and welcoming host. Very "walker friendly". Did a load of washing for us, and did not charge us anything for it. Met another person who had turned up late the previous evening and the owner made her sandwiches as she was so late... again no...

We only stayed one night but this was our best stop on the whole of the Pennine Way: it's worth a return visit and merits spending a few days. Great location for walking. Very warm reception from the owners. Washing and drying managed willingly. High quality accommodation with nice touches like fridge and fresh fruit in room. Wonderful breakfast where...

Very comfortable accommodation following a very hard walk from Keld on the Pennine Way. Tasty breakfast with lots of choice and comfortable lounge for guests. Allowed us to remain in the house after check out as one of our party was unwell. I would recommend this to others.

This is the perfect B&B : the rooms the service, the breakfast, the hospitality, and just in the centre of the village, at a short distance of the Pennine Way. Prices are normal. We need more of this B&B !

This place is a real gem, and is run by owners who go the extra mile in every way. Some of the in-room amenities could give a four-star hotel a run for their money – fresh milk in the mini-fridge, two kinds of complimentary bottled water, a fresh fruit bowl and home made cookies. Appealing chic-boutique room decor, a bed...

Nice room in a very old house, en-suite and tea and coffee making facilities. Fridge with water and fresh milk and a bowl of fruit in the room - just right after a long drive! Easy to find. Accommodation was very clean. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We would stay there again and not hesitate to recommend.

A classic place to stay on the Pennine Way. The owners clearly invest in and work hard to keep up the high level and quality of this small hotel. The breakfast and Wifi were excellent. The packed lunch was exactly what we needed for the next leg of our walk to Dufton.

Stayed for five days and had a five-star-treat. Superb food, good wines and a lovely, welcoming host n hostess. Room a tad small for us but very clean n comfortable. Pleasant dining room and comfortable guests' lounge with a good selection of local interest maps and books. Excellent value for money and well worth five stars. 😊😊

We picked this place because it was conveniently located near to Beamish and Durham plus other places of interest we wished to visit. We were pleased to find what a lovely and peaceful small town (village?) Middleton was as well, as well as being near to good walking routes (Pennine Way, etc) and with a few good eateries across the...
