I arrived at The Boat at 7.50 on January 10, 2017, with the intention of having a meal there. The Barmaid told me that the kitchen closed at 8.00 in the winter, so I was too late. I pointed out to her that it was not yet 8.00 pm, but this cut no ice. I walked out of the bar...

We spent a night at the Boat Hotel on our way to the Loch Ness. Perfectly located, the hotel is a nice house with vintage interior / ornemental. We stayed at the spey side suite; we had complimentary hot chocolate and shortbread cookies ( always nice after a long drive ) and the bathroom was very large with a nice...

This is a real gem. We have returned from a 3 night Christmas break, two " mature"couples. The hotel is just as described in their website _ comfortable, cosy, welcoming and a wonderful ambience - a mix of residents and locals. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly and could not do enough for us - they worked their socks...

We have stayed at the Boat Hotel quite a few times. We were aware that the rooms are a bit hit and miss so made sure that we paid for a deluxe room this time. Searching high and low, we certainly couldn't find any 'luxe' in the room at all! The best I can say is that the bed was...

Stayed in the garden facing room, which had a patio with views of the cairngorm mountains. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. There was on site parking available and a post office/grocery shop nearby. Inadequate staff generally, as receptionist reluctantly showed us to our rooms when we couldn't find these ourselves. Breakfast was nothing great, there was hot food,...

Wonderful tranquil hotel with open fire, tasteful decor and exceptionally helpful staff and great food. We go at least once a year but this year the suite was a special treat (worth the upgrade) and the quality of the breakfast produce was exceptional. Will be back!

Stayed at The Boat Hotel for a few days. Loved the friendly environment, For the management couple Stacey and Michael nothing was too much trouble. It was a pleasure chatting with them. I would definitely recommend staying at this warm and friendly hotel. The pub food was delicious and I loved coming back to the friendly vibe after a tiring...

I stayed at the Boat Hotel last weekend while on a photography trip and meeting up with family in the area. My stay at The Boat was truly incredible - the rooms are ultra comfortable, the staff are very kind and friendly and could not do enough to make you feel relaxed. On Saturday, we all had dinner which was...

My girlfriend and I went away for long weekend and came across the Boat Hotel through a recommendation from a friend. We were keen not to stay in the hype of Aviemore and have a more authentic highland experience. This hotel provided exactly that! We arrived just before dinner on Friday night and was a little put off by some...
