My husband and I enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel in what must be one of the best settings in Scotland. The room is lovely, comfortable, spacious and cosy. The food is excellent with beautiful locally sourced ingredients. The view in the hotel is amazing, from the balcony in our cedar wing room, from the restaurant and from... More

We have just came back from a 2 break at the Loch Melfort Hotel. The hotel is set in a beautiful part of Scotland with stunning views of the Loch. The main building is impressive but as previous reviewers have said the annex does look like a Motel from the sixties. Our room was a 'Superior' room which from what... More

Lovely time at the Loch Melfort Hotel, only stayed for one night but would have stayed longer. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, room was very comfortable and warm. All rooms have amazing view, we were upstairs and loved having the balcony despite the colder weather. Dinner was excellent, and sitting in the restaurant and lounge was calm... More

Second visit to this lovely hotel. The setting is beautiful, the food fresh, well prepared and presented but the friendly and professional attitude of all staff made our stay so enjoyable. Great selection of gin also a bonus. We will be back..

Hotel was fine but the view over the loch was fantastic. The Hotel is close to the water with highland cattle grazing in front. The lounges are a great place to enjoy the local whisky. We are a mature couple and were joined by like friends - we all enjoyed investigating the surrounding area, including the "bridge over the Atlantic".... More

We stayed here on Friday 28th October with a deal for £99. The view from the room in the cedar wing was lovely. A really nice touch was a letter to our dog, some treats and a towel too. We had a great meal in the Bistro and enjoyed some wine too. Good service and really lovely food. Great portion... More

We had the wonderful experience of being upgraded to the master room in the main building . Spacious and with a balcony affording wonderful views - not least as the sun was setting . Stayed two nights and had beautiful food in the main dining room . Service very good

Stayed on a Friday night for one night on a very good value Groupon deal with dinner and breakfast. Had our small dog with us. Checked in and met by friendly reception staff. Allocated a ground floor room in Cedar Wing which had outstanding views and chickens roaming around on the grass outside… which my dog wasn’t so daft on... More

Many thanks for your comments and we will certainly have a further discussion in our business about whether we can make more of our hotel pet friendlier in the future. Kind regards Rachel and Calum More
