My daughter, friend and I spent 3 beautiful days at Casas Prieto in Asturias and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. It is reached by spectacular winding roads through green countryside and the views from the Casa are unforgettable.
Each morning, the sheep are taken past the house to graze and brought safely down in the evening. There are mountain walks(easy as well as challenging) nearby and it is peaceful and quiet.
The interior is lovely with small modern kitchen, fireplace which was used even in June as the evenings were chilly. Bedrooms were simple and nicely furnished.
This is not located in a village with shops, etc. Each morning someone drives up in a vehicle to sell bread and eggs to the few people living here. There are small villages not too far away where food may be purchased, but you must drive. Oviedo is just 45 minutes away, Gijon an hour, as well as the spectacular coast-Playa del Silencio.
This was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return with more family members when we can.

Everything was perfect. My partner and I spent the weekend before xmas in this lovely place in the heart of Asturias which is a really beautiful region in the north of Spain. We stayed in the house III where you can find all you need for a comfortable stay. Surrounding by mountains, forests, rivers and full of animals you can experience their gastronomy, relaxing walks, hiking and the stunning views. Mr Prieto is a really nice person, always keen on providing a proper rural experience. He has a farm with a friendly and cute variety of animals that will introduce to you and explain everything you need to know about them. Looking forward to repeating this wonderful weekend away and enjoy again the beauty of this lands and the hospitality of Mr Prieto.

We spent 5 days at Casas Prieto from the 2nd to the 6th of January in 2016 and 2017- we had a wonderful time - the accommodation is beautiful comfortable and warm and the surrounding countryside is spectacular. The family Prieto are great with children and they spent hours with the farm animals - dogs - sheep - goats and Alpaca - as well as Paco the very friendly Emu! We will definitely be going back.
