I've stayed here several times before and was a little worried when I heard it had changed hands but I needn't have worried as this place just ticks all the boxes. The new hosts David and Lois are just what you'd expect from "Geordie" hosts, warm, friendly and full of good humour. Rooms are warm and cosy with all the...

Had a lovely couple of days here. 30/31 March. Really friendly host, very knowledgeable about the area, comfortable room, good breakfast. Nice deep bath to soak tired legs from walking. Cannot fault the place. Loved exploring the area. Annie good luck on your retirement x

Very much enjoyed my stay and the breakfast. The welcome was warm, the bed comfortable and the room well appointed. I've booked to go again later in the year. I immediately felt at home. The location was peaceful, next to the river and handy for getting dinner in the Anchor pub. Thank you so much :)

A lovely Guest house with clean rooms, comfy bed, powerful hot shower and a breakfast to rival any others. Stayed here whilst attending a wedding at Langley Castle and we were not disappointed. A warm, super cheery welcome. We were offered a later breakfast as the owner knew we would be out late at a wedding (and would probably be...

Lovely hotel with surprisingly large rooms. The welcome I received was so friendly I felt like I had walked into my best friends house! Wifi worked well, great power shower, lovely cooked breakfast - and a really comfortable nights sleep. I told the lovely manager, whose name I have forgotten I'm afraid, that I wished I had booked several nights!...

We only stayed one night - wish is had been longer. The landlady (wish we could remember her name) was so welcoming, friendly and cheerful. Did lots of little extra things to help which were much appreciated - thank you. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Haydon Bridge is a pretty little village in lovely countryside and with...

This was a lovely, homely B&B. Lindsay and Anne both made me feel very welcome and made a fabulous breakfast. The wifi was fast and the room spacious with a comfortable bed and spotless ensuite. I had a downstairs room which was warm and well appointed, including a hospitality tray. Lindsay was very helpful with suggestions of things to do...

It's easy to run a place when all is well but you really see the face of service when things go a bit south. My wife and I were staying for three nights to hike and visit parts of Hadrian's Wall and during the first night the boiler failed, leaving the place without heat or hot water. They handled it...
