The setting for this grand old hotel is lovely, peacocks roaming the grounds, large lawned areas and woodland settings. We stayed in one of the lodges and to be frank, it could have been so much better. We booked a standard lodge (there are deluxe lodges available that are charged at a much higher price). However, standard or not, I...

Only one thing stops this hotel getting and excellent rating - the food. I believe they are stopping evening meals completely during the week from next month, which will put off business travellers somewhat. As it is the food in the evening is glorified pub grub, so it's no surprise that most visitors don't eat in the place at night...

Unusual hotel with great grounds. Have now stayed here twice on business. It's very quiet during the week as clearly main trade appears to come from weddings. The rooms I've stayed in during my two stays varied from grand & spacious through to draughty and pokey this seems to be down to 'luck of the draw'. Evening meals are nothing...

It was my sisters birthday and she tried very hard to find out what veggie food was available before she booked-nobody seemed to know! After several phone calls she gave up so i rang- nobody seemed to know. As she wanted to go we went, the food was dull. Its a shame cos the place is beautiful.

I have just returned home from my brothers wedding held at Rushpool hall. I have never met friendlier staff and it was a pleasure to have such great staff serving us. Myself and my mother arrived on Wednesday the 26th, a few days before the wedding. We then had dinner in the lounge to save us going out for a...

Fantastic hotel set in beautiful gardens with outstanding views to salt burn beach from bedroom window. Room was immaculate and bathroom was equally as impressive. Meal in the evening was brilliant and very well priced and waitress traditional breakfast table service was a real bonus. The grounds of this hotel would win awards in any stately home competition and are...
