The Spa Hotel is situated in a prime position overlooking the sea and nearby cliffs. It has parking at the front and rear of the hotel, but inadequate for the number of rooms. However, most roads in Saltburn offer free parking with the exception of the beach car park. We received a friendly welcome at reception, although the reception is...

Rooms in the rear extention have very thin walls. Not a lot of sleep when the person in the next room snores heavily. Ground floor rooms not good when people above are late nighters. No escape from piped 'Music' in any of the public rooms. Very intrusive in the evening dining area.

I stayed here on my own after taking my husband to catch the ferry in Newcastle. I'm not used to travelling solo and had a lovely evening in the conservatory restaurant. Excellent food, friendly staff, superb views. I will definitely go again.

First stay at The Spa Hotel, and we hope to return. Our room was great, clean and very comfortable, and easily accessible. We booked full board and found that, while the evening meals were very good, they were a little bit too rich for us after a few days! A more varied menu - maybe extending the option to order...
