Had a great time on the farm at this quiet and welcoming country retreat. The kids loved the animals and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. Val and Roddy are both very welcoming and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our children offer special thanks to Angus for his attention to duty as their farm guide. A+ and highly recommended.

Stayed for the one night for a college course. Val was brilliant and forever offering to drop me into town for a bite to eat or pick up essentials from the supermarket and then pick me up again at a moment's notice. The facilities are top notch, plush and modern and slept amazingly (couldn't eat the free packet of local... More

Our visit started with a cream tea, which was very welcome after our long drive & served by our lovely, friendly host who shares my name, Val! You feel like you are part of the family, with Val & busy farmer husband Rod always making sure we were well looked after. Have stayed in both rooms & they are of... More

My husband and I booked the Tamar room at Forda Farm online through their website back in May and confirmation of booking was received. However, on arrival at the farm on the 4 September we were met by Val, the Proprietor, who said she would show us to our room, the room that we were shown was not the room... More

If you like peace & quiet in a rural landscape you wont go far wrong by going to Forda Farm which is situated a few miles north of Holsworthy. A mainly sheep farm in the Bredon Hills and a good place for exploring the coast from the vicinity of Bude. The B&B facilities were excellent and the owners Val &... More

I had a lovely overnight stay at Forda Farm, where Val and Rod made me feel very welcome. I stayed in the Tamar room, which was nicely decorated with a great shower! There were lovely touches such as the wine and fudge and it was spotless. The hospitality and Breakfast was also very good. I would definitely recommend this place... More

My husband, my daughter (3 and a half) and me, we spent a night at Forda farm in April with our 3 years old daughter and we all had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, Val made us so welcome. She is the best sort of hostess. She joined our lively discussions and gave us an insight into farming life both in her native Scottish highlands and in Devon. Her cream tea alone is worth the visit.! Both rooms are spotless, with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including fudge, numerous... More

Well last time our grandchildren on the journey home said "When can we go back?" Well we did do last weekend. After about twenty 'Are we there yet' we arrived back at Forda Farm. The welcome feeling started as soon we drove in to the farm and parked the car. The family room was still smashing and the children made... More
