The pool bar is closed, does not work and notice that it no longer works for some time, there are pools with broken tiles, you have to be careful not to cut yourself what leaves you want in what has to do with the maintenance of the space that is very weak. The weekend morning tennis court has social events so it can not be rented for the weekend and there is no information. Jacuzzi in maintenance and by expression of employment for a long time probably. In short, I paid 161€ to not even be able to enjoy what led me to choose the place .
Out the noise at night from some machine near room number 9. The room is 2 double single beds.
They sell the space as very good with 4 stars and in the state in which it is not even know if it is worth 3 stars. Careless, no maintenance and no people to solve the problems.
What is presented in the booking is not the reality of what is.
Mushrooms in the bathroom
Parking charged 10€ / day while free on booking flee this infectious place
• Broken towels with holes in
• Broken/non-functioning safe
• Broken door, difficult to close completely
• No trash can in the room except small bucket in the bathroom
• Ants in the room
• Tasteless breakfast, no variation. Poor supply of fruit and vegetables (unripe and inedible bananas)
• Maid threw away part of razor
• when we asked not to be cleaned, the maid came anyway. I had the second time literally observe when the receptionist wrote down that we did not want to get cleaned on a particular day.
• Unclear if clubhouse existed or was just cheaper part of luz bay hotel. Poorly marked when airport transfer would find.
• no soap or paper in the pool toilet
• extremely overpriced hotel
• the pictures of the hotel are very misleading
• a bunch of TV channels but several with really bad reception
We arrived and were welcomed by a lady at reception. We went through the usual stuff and we were given our room key and told the room number. After walking around aimlessly for around 20 minutes we finally figured out that our room was upstairs... the stairs that were taped up with the classic red and white 'this is probably unsafe so steer clear'. I left my bags and girlfriend downstairs in the rain as I attempted to make my way up the half taped up staircase (there was around nine inches of leg room so, you know, super safe).
We got to the room after having to forget everything we knew about BASIC health and safety and although the room looked dated, it was semi-acceptable.
I then decided to go check the view from the balcony and after the crushing disappointment went to go back into the room and closed the door... turns out you have to push the door with two hands, slightly lifting it whilst kicking the bottom along with your foot.
My brother was there also and he was greeted with lights that didn't work that reception wouldn't replace, a missing air-con controller and the remains of a used condom in the plug hole (not even lying!! their excuse was a change of cleaning crews). He also came to see me in my room the following morning as we were all packing and slipped down the stairs... the bloke in reception didn't seem to care much about that even after we said the stairs were dangerous.
The beds were awful. I woke up to a puffy eyed girlfriend who'd been crying all night after an hours broken sleep due to the springs that were protruding through her mattress.
I can't even put across how bad this hotel is. I would compare it to Fawlty Towers but at least there you might get a quick laugh. This however was a mix between a hotel run by Manuel and the Normal Bates of the Health and Safety world.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
We're all still trying to get refunds too as apparently they can't give back the CASH PAYMENT as it was a 'holiday'.
Disgraceful. You could offer me ten grand to stay there for a week and I'd still say no.
