Our second stay at the Baia da Luz but first time with our two girls. We opted to stay in a 2 bedroomed duplex as we also travelled with my father in law. It turned out to be a brilliant choice as there was a third bedroom up a flight of stairs with its own bathroom, sitting area and an incredible roof top terrace.

The resort itself is wonderful, we stayed just outside the gated pool area so were able to hop in within a matter of seconds. The family pool is a good size and also a small baby pool and park behind this. During our stay the family pool was a lot quieter in the morning and got busier in the afternoon. It never felt over crowded and getting a sun bed was never an issue. The pool bar/restaurant opened at 11am and provided an excellent service. They even showed the football on the big screen behind the bar as an added bonus. The Italian restaurant was great to grab a bit of lunch and we also had an evening meal here which was lovely and very reasonably priced.

The apartment was amazing. It had 4 balconies so plenty of space and also an opportunity to follow the sun round to top up the tan. The roof terrace had amazing views and the sea was nicely in the distance.

The supermarket is a 10/15 minute walk and you can make it to the beach in no more than 10 minutes. Ollie’s bar is just round the corner and a perfect place for a pre dinner cocktail, particularly during happy hour between 5-7pm.

A wonderful complex and one that we will return to again in the future.

Room Tip: The family pool is a lot quieter in the morning. The 2 bedroomed duplex is actually a 3 bedroom...

We spent a week at Christmas in a wonderful two bed/2 bath apartment on this complex. Staff were excellent and most supportive. The accommodation was not only spotless, but was beautifully decorated with everything one could need for self catering with plenty of equipment. There was a pool and tennis courts available which we did not chose to use, but the pool seemed to be well heated. A most attractive complex with immaculately maintained gardens between blocks. Only a short walk to the beach and all amenities; high quality deli/mini-supermarket within easy reach. The appt had multiple balconies, so we could follow the sun round during the day. Very reasonable rates for the standard of the resort. No
hesitation in recommending this complex. Only downside was a weekly charge for using the safe in the room - We think this should have been included in the room rate in an establishment of this standard.

Our family stayed in Baia da Luz resort for four nights in October. The resort is very well kept and the apartment was spacious and spotlessly clean. Victor made us very welcome during the check-in process.
We had a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment (one bedroom was upstairs on the mezzanine area). All the bathrooms have a bath and the large bathroom at the mezzanine area had both a bath and a large shower. The Rituals toiletries added a nice touch. The apartment has everything for a relaxing holiday - it is modern, well equipped, has large terraces and is a short walk from the beach and restaurants. There is also an Italian restaurant on site, we had takeaway pizza from there one night and it was very good.
The apartment is cleaned three times a week.
The main heated swimming pool is only for adults. Our teenagers tried the other pool, that was also heated, but as it is not covered at night, it was still pretty cold.

From the moment we arrived the experience was relaxed friendly and welcoming.
The apartment was just like the brochure and I couldn’t fault it - it would have been useful to have access to some cleaning products -
The resort is lovely as is LUZ village . Having free parking was useful as we drove ourselves from the airport and it was good to know the car was safe.
Will definitely return. Thank you .

Wonderful condo. The staff are very friendly and efficient. If you stay more than a week housekeeping is provided 2 times a week. They have been by more frequently. The room is kept spotlessly clean. It is a well-furnished condo and the kitchen has high quality appliances, dishes and utensils. They even have a washing machine. The patios are large. The condo is spacious and it is in a quiet location.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. 2 pools but one is closed during off season.

It is walking distance to Luz where there are restaurants and shops. The restaurant on site Alloro is excellent as is Ondaluz – up from the resort.

The only downside would be the underground parking. There is a very steep slope to get into the parking garage about 30 degree . The driveway into the garage is only about 10 ft. wide and there are large concrete walls on each side. It would be difficult with manual transmission. Once inside the garage you have to negotiate concrete pillars to access your parking space.

It is a lovely resort and we would highly recommend

Myself and my Husband stayed at the Baia da Luz in September 2022 and the apartment we had was very nice (40M) and the whole complex is excellent. The reception staff are very helpful and if you needed to book a day out they could often get you a discount on the ticket price. The onsite restaurant is also very nice and the staff are very welcoming.

Been coming to Baia da Luz for many years, in fact here at the moment and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! A very well run establishment with high standards. From the reception staff, to housekeeping, maintenance to security - the service from each staff member is first class. They cannot do enough to make your stay safe, comfortable and enjoyable, particularly during these strange uncertain times. If you’re considering a break away from the stresses in today’s world I’d highly recommend Baia da Luz.

We really ⁇ our stay. The location is extraordinary and we managed to do everything on foot. Spacious apartment, very well equipped (dishes and machines) and clean. The surrounding of the Resort is very well ⁇ ined and shows attention to detail. Regarding the pools, support bar and restaurant everything was very good (I highlight the organization in the pool that allowed always have sun loungers to the guests). It was an excellent refuge without any kind of confusion so typical in the month of August.

What a beautiful place. The apartment was a 2 bed duplex, booked for 4 adults and 2 children. Check in was quick and easy with lovely staff, the staff in the pool bar and restaurant were fantastic and the pool area was lovely and clean and so relaxing. The adult pool is beside the family pool but was so peaceful if you needed a break. The apartment itself was massive, three bedrooms with three bathrooms, a kitchen with everything you could need, a lovely balcony to have meals on and the loveliest wee terrace upstairs to sunbathe and enjoy a drink. The area of Praia da Luz itself, is quite simply beautiful, stunning beach, gorgeous restaurants and just a lovely place to spend a week. I couldn't recommend this hotel any higher.

Just wanted to ask is it easy to get a sun lounger around the pool especially during August?

We had a 3 bed place as we were 2 families but agree with other comments, the apt’s are really lovely, very spacious and the staff are excellent advisors. Do ring up and speak to Vitor or any of the staff there - super helpful. I would probably go for a 2 bed if the price isn’t drastic - better holiday for everyone with a bit more room for everyone!

No indoor pool. Not sure about pools being heated but the complex were very quick at responding to email queries I sent prior to our visit so maybe you could also try this

Yes they do have high chairs available, and you have chosen a wonderful place to stay close to the beach and a great kiddy's pool in a secure gated area. Enjoy

Washing machine and soap, yes. We entered building at ground level but walked up stairs to our unit. There was an elevator. Maybe units at ground level. Check with resort using “Ask a question” to the right of this reply.
