We stayed at the Hotel Baur am See for two nights during a walking holiday in the Dolomites and enjoyed every minute of the experience. The owner and his staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the hotel’s long history. Amazing place, cannot recommend enough. Nestled in the heart of the Dolomites, a great place to hike, relax, view the mountains, experience life from the past, a great place to stay. The owner is a long term resident of the valley and knows much of its history.

Views of the Dolomite mountains, a small lake complete with paddle-boats and swans, good cooking, and one of the loveliest parts of the Alps, with easy access to paths, bike-trails, and public transportation that will take you...
