Absolutely fantastic welcome and the service was very friendly throughout our one night stay. Room itself was great, huge comfortable bed and very clean, bathroom was the letdown, musty smelling and the shower surround was broken at the top, due to the dampness in the bathroom mould above the shower etc. Shower itself was great, very powerful. Our dinner in... More

Stayed here whilst having a day at Newmarket races, Must say the welcome was really friendly. We were given the room key to our room which are set as stables which was a nice touch. The rooms were nice and cosy, tea and coffee facilities and a bathroom which is all we needed. The bar was clean and tidy with... More

We stayed here on business in June Cambridge hotels were all full or very expensive. The food was well cooked and plentiful. We ate evening meal in the bar and had a great breakfast the next morning. The rooms all set around the car park courtyard were clean and functional. Free wifi available.

Booked this on the spur of the moment as we had tickets for Newmarket races, and decided to stay over. From the moment we arrived we found the hosts warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms are self contained chalet type at the back of the pub, and ours was very comfortable and more than adequate for what we wanted. A... More

Managed to get in here at short notice having decided to stay over after a night at the races. So glad we did. A lovely friendly welcome and very good clean rooms. We didn't eat here in the evening but if it's as good as the breakfast I am sure you won't be disappointed. If we come back for another... More

We stayed here in May 2015. Right from the start we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant both evenings, aswell as having breakfast, no complaints on the quality and quantity of food. We didn't do any exploring of the area so can't comment on that. It is well located... More

We had two nights at this friendly pub and would highly recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the Newmarket/Cambridge area. The rooms are located behind the rear of the pub in a 'stable block' configuration. Each of the rooms has a name and has independent access. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast each morning... More

Stayed here for 1 night whilst in the area for work. The rooms are lovely and they are clean with good facilities. The fire alarms are sensitive so make sure you close your bathroom door whilst having a shower. The staff in the pub are friendly and polite. They have a good selection of ales on tap which made the... More
