Great location - the quiet and calm of this place create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Good view of the lake and the tower ruins next to the place add a touch of history. Breakfast here is fabulous - the best porridge ever! Our host was a wealth of information in helping us get to where we needed to go....

Morning walk of about 3kms to Dromineer for breakfast by the lake. Great view, good coffee and a tasty bowl of porridge...very friendly people and peaceful surroundings. We have a few more days here, so hope it's not raining and we can do it again a couple more times!!

Lough Derg house is in a beautiful village on the shore of a beautiful natural lake only meters away from the waters edge. Staying here was very relaxing. The hosts are very friendly. The breakfast menu is good. Recommended. I would definitely stay here again.

I was staying in Lough Derg House last weekend. I was the organiser of a holiday for 14 people and I can't thank Declan and Fiona enough for their hospitality. They made everything very easy for me to book and arrange and helped me organise activities when I needed a helping hand. The accommodation itself was super, the rooms are...

We were part of a group of several couples, some with teenagers, who all stayed at Lough Derg House this past weekend 26/27 June. Declan and his team went out of their way to look after us, even staying on a bit longer than usual at the restaurant/cafe to facilitate us when we got back from the lake after an...

They took great care of us while we were on a vacation from the States. They even took us out for a pint. We sat down and had great conversation. They introduced us to their friends and we had a great night.

This 'Hostel' is located in a historic stone building right on the harbour at Dromineer. Bedroom was excellent if a bit small. Shower room was so small that i left the door open permanently. Lovely views from the rooms over the harbour and playground. Breakfast was excellent with good coffee and the full grill including black pudding.
