When you drive into the secluded ranch, you will think it is at least two hundred years old; that's how good of a job they did with its design, which is less than 15 years old if I recall correctly. It's a combination of Old...More

Thank you so much for your kind words about Rancho Chilamate. It was a design of passion and it is nice to have it acknowledged. We look forward to having you return one day. ~ Blue

Rancho Chilamate Guest Ranch offers an experience like none other in Nicaragua. This solar-powered Colonial-style hacienda is just 20 minutes from town but a world away and is home to the infamous horseback …Moreadventure company of the same name. Guests are invited to join in family style ranch meals, wildlife viewing (Howler Monkeys live here), horseback riding, star gazing, day trips to the nearby beaches and life off-the-grid. All rooms have large private ensuites and free wireless internet. Two rooms have private gardens and patios. There is plenty of lounging areas in and around the hacienda and pool. There should be a couple of things noted about Rancho Chilamate: - there is a one night minimum stay and a 3 night maximum stay. - due to solar power restrictions we do not have air conditioning in our rooms - however we have fans and there is a delightful breeze the comes down the valley and through the rooms. - Rancho Chilamate's room rate includes breakfast and dinner including wine and beer poolside - Rooms are subject to goverment tax - Horseback riding is not included in room rates and is based on availability, so guests should consider booking their tour before arrival.
