Having watched the restoration of Ballyfin Demesne on Vimeo I decided to go there for a treat. Following my booking I learned that I was now going to the No 1 Hotel in the World and it was on my doorstep (well in Ireland) no planes or ships and that in itself omitted stress. Thinking I was Lady Mary I...

This place was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I deliberately didn't read any other reviews before I went as My husband had made the reservation and I just wanted to experience it for myself. The grounds, house and fantastic staff not to mention the food made this a truly memorable occasion for us. The only downside was we only...

Ballyfin is a beautiful place to stay. There are many luxurious and elegant rooms to sit and relax. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and you feel you are a guest staying in a very beautiful personal home. There is so much attention to detail and so much to explore with the woods to walk in, the walled garden...

Far and away one the the best lodging experiences I've had. My group of 3 was originally supposed to stay at Ballyfin one night and 10 minutes into our visit we booked another night and another the following day. Staff is waiting on the front steps to greet you upon arrival and treats you like family, no request is too...

I booked dinner in Ballyfin for a Sunday. Loved the drive up and from the moment we parked the staff were amazing. Really special place. Loved exploring the grounds and rooms in the hotel. Whispering room is great. Roaring fires and we were put at our ease. Meal was lovely. When the staff found out it was a special occasion...

Loved our stay at Ballyfin! Everything about this place (except maybe the bathroom lighting) is perfect. This old estate has been restored in the most exquisite way possible. It appears that absolutely no expense was spared. I felt like I was a guest at Downton Abbey, except that there was no stuffiness about it. The staff is very welcoming and...

This place rocks! It is amazing from the moment you drive through the front gates. The property is over 600 acres, and the house is ginormous. It has been beautifully renovated to museum quality and you can stay there. Each room has a theme, and is well done, and has all the amenities you would expect in a high end...

Myself and my fiancée have just returned from a mini break at Ballyfin and all I can say is WOW. From arrival to departure, everything was just perfect and we have come home completely relaxed and rejuvenated. The Ballyfin experience begins when you drive up the winding path to be greeted at the gate by no less than three staff...
