Was there for 4 days and the place was amazing - from the lake and the canoe to the dining place. Had a good time but didn’t get to see a lot of animals. Guide was good and pointed out lots of birds, insects and...More
3 days at this lodge and greatly enjoyed. All staff very friendly and helpful. Cabins basic but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hikes and canoe trips were excellent with guides very informative. Food was ok.
We stayed here in June and it is a beautiful place. The staff are friendly, the manager spends time speaking with the guests and food is lovely - what more could you ask for in the middle of the rainforest!

Hi. We were there in June 2017, had yellow fever vaccine and prescription of anti malaria drug. The area has not seen yellow fever in 20 years and we were never bitten by a mosquito and that is because the lodge is located by a black lake which is acidic and doesn’t promote a mosquito population. I would probably bring medication for malaria (Malarone) which is used for both prevention and treatment. My parents and boyfriend were on Malarone and all were vaccinated for yellow fever. Sacha Lodge is great! I hope you go! Enjoy!

You can go to the butterfly house, swim in the lake pool, or simply swing in your hammock taking in the surroundings. It’s a beautiful place, just sitting watching and listening to the sounds occupied us!
