Would thoroughly recommend as a short break with a young family. Our two year old was kept entertained exploring the outdoor play area, using the well-stocked games room and helping feed the animals. Baby/toddler equipment was provided (e.g. cot, pushchair) which was helpful. Simple pleasures like sitting on the patio enjoying the views, short walks from the door and indulging...

I don't think my words can describe this place, it really is a beautiful quiet haven away from the rat race. I spent my third visit here in total tranquility, I have such a busy life that the R & R was most needed. We again stayed in Sheldon Cottage with our pooch, one arrival there was a basket of...

Three visits in 2015/16 and each time the stay is flawless. Deborah and Martin are great and if they are not around the cover staff are also excellent. They have thought of everything to make your stay as stress free as possible. We look forward to returning soon.

I stayed here with my Mum and our dogs and we felt very welcome! The cottages are an excellent standard (modern yet cosy) and we had everything we needed. There's plenty of information and we did three of the walks provided by the owners and tried two of the local pubs which were great! It's a great location for all...

Another wonderful short break at Wheeldon Trees. The weather was not as good as we have had in the past but it did not spoil a relaxing break. All that one could wish was on hand and the cottage was very cosy and comfortable and best described as a home from home. Even small welcome and departure gifts for our...

We found our way to Wheeldon Trees because we wanted a child friendly place to stay, little did we know that we'd find our own little paradise in the Peaks. Before you arrive Deborah and Martin send you emails telling you useful information and details of your booking, this really makes the difference. When we arrived we were greeted with...

We have just returned from our fourth visit in 12 months. These cottages are truly home from home in an outstanding picturesque setting. There are several pubs nearby that serve very nice food and within a short drive there are lots of interesting places to visit. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here before and always thought so highly of the venue...the owners Deborah and Martin have lovingly upgraded the cottages and they really are five star. The attention to detail is amazing, special coffees, cake on arrival, soda stream, brilliant wi-fi and so many other simple touches that bring the experience to an amazing level. The scenery is...

The English language doesn't have enough superlatives to underline just how fantastic this place is. So much thought has gone into every aspect of the cottages that you'll probably think they're better equipped than your own home (underfloor heating, smart TV... etc etc). The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the perfect place to get away from it all. If walking's...
