Lovely people, welcoming to dogs and tourists. We were allotted a tiny, attic room with a minute bathroom, and really, we could hardly have been happier. We could stand on the bed and look out across the roof to the beautiful skyline of the rest of the town. I'd go back in a flash. I hear it has undergone renovations...

We needed a hotel for the night between two visits to the Cadre Noir and this hotel was perfectly situated for easy access. However, access to the town centre was not quite so easy. With the hotel being not far from the junction of a busy dual carriageway, our only option was to drop down onto a towpath by the...

I spend a night in that ideally located hotel when you are on your way to the Ecole National d'Equitation. To my surprise they had renovated a big part of it since my last visit…The owner are very friendly, good breakfast, comfortable beds… A plus is to see most of the Cadre Noir stopping in the morning to have a...

Friendly staff, reasonable price. The rooms on the second floor have sloping ceilings so staying more than one night could result in a permanent stoop as a result of using the bathroom. The breakfast was a bit limited in scope but acceptable for the price of 6€ +/-.

Lovely friendly staff without English. Our room was clean and bright at garret level, also tres petite! We had two nights here and would stay again. close to Saumur, and in a horsey area. Basic bar downstairs which acts as breakfast place as well. A little out of Saumur but easy to find and free secure parking.

We wanted a clean cheap place to stay on our overnight pit stop to visit the National Horse Riding Schools delicious display by the Cadre Noir. A must for all horsey and non-horsey people. The hotel is basic and being redecorated at the moment. But we three ladies "of a certain age" spent a very comfortable evening, firstly in the...

We chose this hotel for the cost mainly during a drive down though europe. It is basic, clean, and cheap. The town doesn't have alot of choice of restaurants but Saumur is only about a 30 min walk. Do visit one of the sparkling wine producers in the town and do a tour. Breakfast isn't included - we paid for...
