We arrived at Oasis Newman after a long day of driving from Perth. At the reception we booked and paid for the buffet dinner because the city of Newman is about 7 kilometers away. The Billabong room we had booked for a couple was small but complete, clean and functional, with the car park right in front of it. Going to dinner we noticed that this accommodation was mainly built to be used by workers employed in the Newman area. There is a nice swimming pool and some recreational activities such as the billiard room. The buffet dinner is located in a very simple place but the quantity and variety of food is huge. An impressive choice of well-cooked food as well as desserts and fruit. Being BYO we brought a bottle of wine, but water and soft drinks are included. Only negative point is the wifi that did not work in the room, which was just 20 m from the reception and, even near the reception itself, it was terribly slow. A very good place to spend the night and enjoy a great dinner. Recommended.

Cabins are clean, fairly modern, but the bed it too tiny for 2 persons, really, so we spent a restless night. The restaurant however was the first and only place in a 2 months roadtrip that offered healthy, fresh, non-deepfried options for all meals. Really enjoyed it and happy we booked the meals too!

A very small room but with clean bathroom, comfy bed, fridge and kettle. Free laundry! Nice bar area. Buffet dinner with a good variety of hot dishes (the lamb korma was great) and a rather small salad bar. Safe parking area. This motel is mainly used by industrial workers.

If I could give zero I would Drove into the place after driving 14 hrs and really looking forward to chilling and a good night sleep before another big day tomorrow only to find that the vast majority of the place is a mining camp. The room is a tiny donga definitely not big enough for two of us. The shower and bathroom area are stained and filthy, the floors are dirty with sand and grit on them and the bed linen looks like it’s been used a million times plus I was greeted by a lovely blowfly as I entered the room 🤮 The bed was broken and the stench coming from it was appalling, the fridge had someone else’s food containers in it and the walls along the bed were filthy This very disappointing room cost my Husband and I $170 and we had the offer of camp/buffet food for an additional $40 each.
Perhaps Oasis should advertise that a mining camp is within there accommodation because if I had known this I would never have booked. If I wanted to stay in a mining camp I would have joined the mines🤨

I was very disappointed with this accommodation. This is a mining company Donga accommodation. It should be advertised as such. The Donga is very small & not suitable for couples, as it is too small. The Food in the camp kitchen ( buffet style) was just satisfactory, at $40 each. The Reception confirmed that this facility is owned & run by BHP. Overall I’m not impressed as it’s not value for money.

Found ourselves needing accommodation for the night and the team at Oasis was very accommodating when sorting out our late notice request. Was there for roast night at the mess and thoroughly enjoyed the food. With shift workers arriving and departing at various hours there was a little bit of noise but it wasn't too bad. Aside from being a bit pricey for me it was hard to knock, and would definitely return if the need arises.

Being a vegan working FIFO you get used to there not being a lot of food choices, so very used to living in veg and salad. I had given up asking and just except - after all it is my choice. After I unintentionally mentioned to the chef I was vegan he has gone out of his way to find me something new and a bit more exciting. I really appreciate it. 🙏

We booked this at the last minute and was all that was available. The place is for mine workers and is south of Newman off the Great Northern Highway. We were warned the room was tiny and it was. However it was clean and equipped. We used the microwave in the recreation room for dinner and there is also a restaurant on site. There is a communal gardened area and a pool that can be used also. We were woken from 4am onwards as the mine workers went to work.

Excellent Christmas Day Dinner at Oasis. Food presentation, choice and flavour was beyond expectations. As resident Fifo workers at Oasis, the food is always good and plentiful, however Christmas Day the team went that extra mile to make our day special. Thank you so much to Tim and all the catering staff (sorry don't know names) for your hard work on Saturday.

Rooms rather small and not much space to sit outside but undercover area outside dining room would be fine i guess. Best part was meal option. Mainly setup for contractors/employees on work trip to Newman and surrounding mines.
