Anbinik was well priced and the room we had (cabin with bathroom & outside shower) had everything we needed and was really lovely. Air con was super & well appreciated. We were able to have dinner each night at the excellent Asian restaurant that was just outside our room. It made the most perfect base to explore Kakadu. Tip - protect your food from the little ants (keep any open packets etc in the fridge).

Nice comfortable spacious bungalow in a garden setting. Thai restaurant on-site was quite good. Pool was a little small with almost half of the pool strangely very shallow, perhaps intended for children paddling, so fine for a quick plunge to cool down but not much more. Bungalows have a designated but separate shower toilet block outside the bungalow. The kitchenette was quite well stocked with plates pots glasses salad bowl etc. If you prefer total darkness to sleep then bring a sleep mask as a part of the bedroom windows are frosted glass with no curtains so if your neighbours leave on outside lights then you have light filtering in from outside all night. The package including accommodation, Arnhemlander tour and East Alligator River cruise is highly recommended - the tours are a must-do

We stayed at Anbinik for three nights in a two bedroom cabin. The cabin itself is quite comfortable, spacious and could easily accommodate 5 people (we were actually a party of two and only booked this one as it was one of the last rooms available). The inside seemed to be recently renovated - new paint, updated kitchen, brand new air-conditioning units (one in each room). The lodge is well located in Jabiru and is close to the town centre. Full marks to the staff - we had a minor inconvenience with a missing tv remote and the guys went above and beyond, eventually installing another tv in the room. It has the best rated restaurant in Jabiru onsite which is a massive plus too. Just be aware that the bathroom for these units are outside, a few footsteps away from the cabin but this may be an issue for travellers who may need easier access. Only drawbacks to this place would be the tiny, uncomfortable couch and creaky metal spring bed. If these were replaced I would have nothing but positive things to say about Anbinik!

We spent 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin. The ensuite was a separate building out the back door. Both the cabin and ensuite were very clean and comfortable, with a big living area including a dining table and lounge. There is a picnic table on the front deck. The main bed was comfortable and was large enough to have suitcases on the ground and had a large hanging and shelving rack for our clothes. Kitchen was well equipped. There were a family of bats but that is nature and they didn't really annoy us. The laundry was free. The bedrooms had air-con but not in the lounge. We found that if you had the aircon on in the bedrooms and the fans in the bedrooms and lounge it kept the area cool enough.

There is a store in Jabiru, lots of frozen, tin and packaged food but not a great selection of fresh food. Keep all your food in the fridge as you can get a few ants, once again - nature.

The grounds themselves were well kept and great to see recycle and general rubbish bins around the resort. The pool area was lovely and the Thai Restaurant was a real bonus - the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

HOT and humid days exploring Kakadu means a clean, comfortable and COOL base is a must. Stayed 2 nights in a 2 bed cabin which has 3 rooms (bed 1, bed 2, and kitchen/diner/tv/couch). All rooms with ceiling fans and bedrooms have really efficient and cooling air-con, a must after a big day out. Parking right out front of the cabin.
Front verandah has table/chairs and is undercover. Out the back door you take 8 paces and you’re at your lockable private ensuite (toilet, vanity shower). Looks like cabins have been added to the site that may have once been caravan sites, hence the separate ensuite. Nice to hear a rain shower on the tin roof overnight. Kitchen has all the gear you need. We got late lunch at the restaurant and took it back to our cabin. Pics on their website pretty accurate. Staff very welcoming and helpful despite being a busy time. Really enjoyed the break. Will definitely be back.

We stayed 4 nights in an Anbinik Suite. The resort is quite pretty and the Thai restaurant is a bonus for lunches and dinners. It was also great to have free laundry facilities and a pool. Sadly, the suites did not meet expectations. While the indoor/ outdoor bathroom is fabulous the room is very basic. There were no wardrobes for hanging clothes and luggage had to be stored on the floor area. Also no broom or dustpan so the floor became very dirty. The resort has no breakfast facilities onsite and the very tiny fridge did not allow for storage of more than a few bottles of water and beer. The bed was the only seating in the room so tea/ coffee had to be consumed here. While staff did lend us plates and cutlery they advised that all food should be stored in the fridge as otherwise ants would invade. We did our best to comply but ended up with tiny biting ants in the bed and on bench tops, despite opening any any food in the bathroom, emptying the garbage and wiping benches down. When we moved on to our next accommodation our toiletries were apparently inhabited by thousands of ants who emerged into the vanity. Unless you are happy to drive to the Mercure for breakfast and eat out for lunch and dinner I would advise looking at their other accommodation options or another resort.

We stayed for two nights in a cabin and loved it. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen to cook our own meals, there is also a Thai restaurant on site. Pool was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I booked a 2 bedroom cabin at Anbinik and we were very happy.y.
Travelling with a rent a car, we found this property fulfilled all our needs.
Plenty of room in our cabin, a great kitchen, nice sitting area, outside toilet and shower in our own private block, although not ideal during the night, but okay.
A free laundry facility block was very much appreciated and a great area opposite us for cooking Bbq when required.
The pool area, although not large, was a regular meeting place for all guests, whether in cabins or caravans.
The villas at Anbinik , which we had a look at, were also fantastic but were not self contained with kitchen facilities like we enjoyed.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating and offered a couple of great tours which we really enjoyed....Arnhemlander and Guluyambi cruise....both well worth doing.
The resort also has a Thai restaurant on site, run separately, but with great food.
They do not offer alcohol here so strongly recommend if you desire this, you bring it down from Darwin which we did.
A short drive out of Jabiru and close enough to many attractions in the national park, I can thoroughly recommend staying.

I would have given it one more star except for the poor sleep quality due to the noisy birds/fruit bats and the big step up to the accommodation, ridiculous. Apart from that it is very nice. The room I stayed in had a comfortable bed and I think a refridgerator, bug spray, clothes storage and private outdoor toilet/shower. I did not use the pool but it is too small for doing laps. Nor did I eat at their restaurant.

A very friendly welcome. We had a 6 room cabin/donger to ourselves which was great. Well appointed, with large central kitchen area, loads of fridge space, utensils, cooking facilities. Our lockable room was nice and cosy with a decent tv. The bathroom is just outside the back door of the donger and was clean with a good shower.
This would be a great option if you’re travelling with a bunch of friends. We wouldn’t have liked it if there were others in the donger, but that’s because we like our own space. If you enjoy the communal feel then this would suit and it’s cheaper than the other hotels in Jabiru. The Thai restaurant is on site if you don’t fancy cooking.

Greyhound run a regular service from Darwin to Jabiru every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The bus fare is $128.52 return for adults and this includes a fuel surcharge. There are also several tours available through firms such as AATKings so check their website for details.
