We booked this B&B for 1 night through the Nelson Information center. going by the photos the option of a free WIFI. As we were kayaking during the day we checked in the motel at 5pm. We paid around 140 dollar ( cannot remember the exact amount). Most of the nicer 1 bedroom LUXURY apartments in Nelson (around 40 minutes)...

The photos might make this hotel look appealing, but this is not the case. The promoted photos are of the main lodge and make it look more akin to a 4 or 5 star room that we paid the price for! The rooms were dated, the carpet worn, towels frayed & NO WiFi. What was also extremely concerning was the...

The property sits just south of the park and Great Walk. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin, which with its kitchen and privacy, was perfect for the two of us. A good take-away (Tui Takeaway) and kayak company were next door. The cabin faced a huge lawn, and summer flowers surrounded the cabin. George, the affable manager, was delightful,...

I read the rave reviews on here and obviously expectations were high. George was a very amiable chap and the setting is stunning, however the cabin was a little grubby - particularly the toilet and fridge. We had a long journey with a baby and cleaning toilets is not what you want to be doing on arrival. The cabin was...

We stayed here for two nights and I truly wish we could have stayed longer - a lot longer! George made us feel right at home and he had lots of great advise. The cabin we stayed in had a kitchenette and washing mashing plus plenty of space to hang clothes outside. It was a big size cabin with a...

George is a very experienced B&B host as well as a native of Marahau. He was very friendly and helpful in making sure we were able to have the best experience in Able Tasman. We stayed in the house which was modestly furnished, in a great location, where you have an ocean view surrounded by a country location.

I would have never known about this place had I not read others' comments on Trip Advisor. What a wonderful place to stay! We only stayed there one night, during our whirlwind 3 week hiking trip in New Zealand, but if I had known more about Abel Tasman National Park and George's comfortable accommodations, I would have planned to stay...

One of the highlights of our trip, we initially booked one night through the i-site but eventually stayed 4 night since our son and his wife were living nearby. The rooms are certainly not stables! We had a huge unit with wheelchair access via the deck, in addition to the usual amenities it included a free washing machine and large...

Beautiful place with a perfect location in walking distance of the entrance to tasman park. Nice room, tremendous view. Very knowledgeable host who had excellent advice on the trips we could take in the park. Enjoyed his lovely garden where we could relax and read a book.
