The location was very impressive; near the top of a long, green valley with amazing views over the surrounding countryside. A smart little pool and jacuzzi, set outside the lodge, allows you enjoy the views without leaving the comfort of the warm water! :) We had a great time; very friendly and helpful. Eileen is very knowledgeable and helped us...

There are lots of really lovely things about Brookside Lodge: the jacuzzi (in their back terrace), the location in the middle of fields with no other buildings to be seen, the welcome with bubbles, the standard of the unit, the delicious food provided and the attention to detail in the rooms (e.g. dressing gowns, heated towels, shampoo etc). However, this...

It states very clearly on our website under the Accommodation button that this is a non smoking property, for very good reasons which you will find printed on the cigarette packets. We do not encourage smoking parties in our units or the admission of your friends for that reason. The costs to 'clean up' after smokers are expensive. I am...

The management thank you for your criticism, as it will help us to improve the finer points of dissatisfaction you have mentioned. We apologise for the fact that you experienced some noise, and we have taken measures to tighten up the loose floor board. The old rescued dog does snore, and we have moved his bed. We planned our stay as part of 11-week tour of Australia and New Zealand. This was towards the end of our stay in the North Island and we wanted to both relax and explore the Abel Tasman National Park which is just a few kilometres away. We took advantage of staying 6-nights, this providing one free night and a reduction...

We were on our honeymoon trip and we absolutely loved our stay at this amazing place. Able Tasman National Park was our 1st destination during 15 days trip to the South Island and we craved for similar hospitality and experience at other places. Experience at other places where we stayed was good but nothing which matched our experience staying at...

What a very nice place. Very comfortable. Very close to Able Tasman. What a quiet, peaceful place. Nice walks near by. The food was great. Fresh muffins and bread every day. You need to try the dinners! If you are going to Abel Tasman, this is the place. They just got WI-FI. This place is a must.

We stayed for 2 nights at this lodge and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely rooms we stayed in plus the outdoor pools, walks and picturesque surroundings. The lady owner Eileen went to a lot of trouble to make sure our stay was homely and inviting and baked the most beautiful bread and muffins daily as part of the package....

We absolutely loved our stay at the Brookside Lodge! The location is absolutely stunning! The B&B is surrounded by beautiful mountains which you can admire out of the pool or the jacuzzi! They have one unit (bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette) so you really have all the privacy you want! Eileen is a lovely host who spoils you with home made...

This was our one indulgence during a trip of backpacking and hosteling--and it was well worth it. A lovely unit with attentive and hospitable hosts--Eileen brought us fresh bread and fruit every morning, and even delivered extra goodies when she heard we hadn't been successful in our search for certain food items at the grocery store. Sitting in the hot...
